Afternoon to all SPCers, I hope you're all having a lovely day or as good as possible. Hugs to all those who maybe in need of any and I hope you're feeling better soon.
A gold star to you, Lucy, :staradmin and thanks for the lovely welcome to Nelly.
Oh yes! Brilliant saving, Meowhouse, it's just amazing how much you can pop in the pot as a result of DIY.Maybe your colleagues will be following your great example. :A
I couldn't agree more re kiddies shoes, jakes-mum. By golly, that's a lot of weight to lose and no one know why! Look after yourself.
You need better self-discipline, frugaldances!Fancy relying on a 4 year old to keep your cash in the pot!!
Ah, there you are, siju. So long as you drop in now and again is all that matters....potting too of course though you appear to be doing well at that.
mommyof4, I think Ruth sums it up perfectly above, I reckon she's right too. Don't worry yourself about it as it won't help the situation.
A begging one of course, Rosy! :rotfl:
Hi Madrabbitgirl, and wonderful news about your partner's job! Rather than need to take cash out of your pot, why not put any possible savings into a 'holding pot' (see 1st post on page 1) so it's there if you need it. Then pop it in when you're sure you won't need it.
Well done, 166million, you're doing just great.
...and well done to you also, 32b3!
You may get a few hang-ups, hummingbird, but strewth you're doing well! Excellent saving and keep at it!!! :j Thanks for putting the cash banked on your siggy.
Your March roadkill is a darned sight better than most of us, Saver-upper, be proud of it.
You're most welcome, Lynne, I know just how much it helped me with DH & the young'ns helping me though. You keep right on plodding along and keep in mind that however bad a day is (in any other way, I mean) that a fag will never make it any better, it only feeds the need and your stress levels! Think of that cash saved so far!!!!Good luck with the voucher, Lynsey.
Fantastic news, Brightspark!! However, would you please pop your SPC No on your signature? Thank you.Enjoy the day, SPCers, with plenty of potting, !Sue xAnyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome. :grinheart
Have done thanks

I did some work for my uncle last week on his laptop. Because he has a farm and keeps chickens i asked for a dozen eggs as payment. When my dad took the laptop back to him he had given me 2 doezen eggs and £20
Will be potting the £20 into my change pot and the eggs into my belly
On a downside though, something to do with the way my umbrella company works out tax, i have been paid £36.20 less than usualOh well, not really anything i can do.

Hi all
Hope you've all had a good day?
I walked to the supermarket this morning to get the groceries and walked back so saved the bus fare and put my change from the shopping into the pot. Keep thinking that every penny saved is one that I'm going to enjoy on my holiday at the end of the year and it's amazing how motivating that is. Roll on the end of the year (well, OK, I'm happy to have some summer first!)
How are you roadkill rebels doing it??? I find that if I don't concentrate on where to put my feet I'd be a version of roadkill myself. Have probably walked past plenty of roadkill and not even noticed
Happy potting tomorrow0 -
Morning all, another grey day here again!! We did have a little sun yesterday though for about 5 minutes. lol
Nelly11 - welcome and good luck with your potting. Still time to get Xmas for "free".
Steadily potting along and 5 x £1 coins potted this morning.
Off to see if we can spend those £10 Debenham's vouchers tomorrow.
Lynsey
Thank you! Ive mentioned this to family members so now I have son3 popping pennies into the pot, anythig 50p and under and my son1&GF are joining in as are my neighbours, we are going to see who can save the most. This is helpful for son3 as he will actually see how just saving little bits will give him a bit more to spend on his girlfriend:TBarclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest
