Ahh ty little_sweetieI just started to lose weight about 5years ago for no reason and no doctor has ever been able to explain why, I really struggle to gain weight and am currently 8st 11 which is rediculously underweight for someone who is 6ft tall. My larger family members do love to tell me how 'lucky' I am not to get fat
sometimes I get the impression they don't really get how dangerous being underweight is *rols eyes*
What is a try me free letter?
Still potting change. Been paid now, need to sort out spends for this week and pot any excess. Fun

Crumbs, jakes-mum, that's a lot of weight to lose. I hope you feel better very soon.
Ahh Ladies, its my new passion :rotfl: Companies occasionally do a 'try me free and if your not completely satisfied we'll give you your money back' promotion.
You buy the product, try it out and then send the receipt and a letter telling them why their product isn't as amazing as they think, they then send you a cheque for the cost of the product and the postage. Sometimes you also have to include the 'try me free' bit off the packaging or the actual product as well. There is one currently for pantene sleek & shine shampoo where they want the bottle back, so the ladies on the try me free thread have been decanting all the shampoo into another bottle and then sending the empty one back within the 28 day period. Im cant quite bring myself to do that so we are using the prooduct for 3 weeks and then ill send the rest back to them, its still 3 weeks of free hair washing
Thread is here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4185707 if anyone wants to have a nose, what you need to remember is when you shop, anything that is 'try me free' must have its own receipt to send back so I always do my shop first then have each 'try me free' put through seperately afterwards

The little plastic bag I was using for my "housekeeping" cash during March, was starting to get weighed down with coinage,so today I paid for ice cream cones with 20p pieces (!!).The amount of coins in it was still irritating me,so I have just potted the remaining 20p and under pieces (total £2.51),plus my March roadkill (£1.04-very poor effort in March:have already found just under half that in the first day of April).
My change bag STILL has £16 in it,but won't pot until I have got my April "housekeeping" out.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Afternoon to all SPCers, I hope you're all having a lovely day or as good as possible. Hugs to all those who maybe in need of any and I hope you're feeling better soon.
A gold star to you, Lucy, :staradmin and thanks for the lovely welcome to Nelly.Just a little 13p for me to add to the pot today...
Oh and a fiver for taking packed lunch with me to work today - felt very righteous when the others came back from the pub and said their food was not very good.....(sometimes there is a lot to be said for a homemade salad)
Oh yes! Brilliant saving, Meowhouse, it's just amazing how much you can pop in the pot as a result of DIY.Maybe your colleagues will be following your great example. :A
I couldn't agree more re kiddies shoes, jakes-mum. By golly, that's a lot of weight to lose and no one know why! Look after yourself.
You need better self-discipline, frugaldances!Fancy relying on a 4 year old to keep your cash in the pot!!
Ah, there you are, siju. So long as you drop in now and again is all that matters....potting too of course though you appear to be doing well at that.
crimson.addict wrote:I'm not worried about it. There's always some scare going around. I think all this will result in is cats being abandoned or pts. either way it's just wrong.
They said it's very rare for it to happen but people won't read that part. If it's rare, don't report it to scare people. If it's likely to happen to a lot of people work with animal people to write a story that helps people see the signs and encourage regular vet visits.
mommyof4, I think Ruth sums it up perfectly above, I reckon she's right too. Don't worry yourself about it as it won't help the situation. What is a try me free letter?
A begging one of course, Rosy! :rotfl:Madrabbitgirl wrote: »Apologies for not posting about my pot in ages! It's been a bit up and down. I ended up emptying some of the money out and having to spend it but it has since been replaced. I have decided I am only going to put notes into my pot as looses change is just too easy for me to slide out of the top of the pot! I haven't been managing to pot every week but I potted £10 the other day and am just about to pot a fiver.
My partner has just started a new job (first day yesterday!) so it won't be such a struggle for us and should be easier for me to put a bit more aside so I hope to be able to get back on track!
Hi Madrabbitgirl, and wonderful news about your partner's job! Rather than need to take cash out of your pot, why not put any possible savings into a 'holding pot' (see 1st post on page 1) so it's there if you need it. Then pop it in when you're sure you won't need it.
Well done, 166million, you're doing just great.
...and well done to you also, 32b3!hummingbird wrote:Hi all!!!!

Your March roadkill is a darned sight better than most of us, Saver-upper, be proud of it.lynne69 wrote:Thanks a million for the support Sue-UU. It really helps keeping me motivatedYou're most welcome, Lynne, I know just how much it helped me with DH & the young'ns helping me though. You keep right on plodding along and keep in mind that however bad a day is (in any other way, I mean) that a fag will never make it any better, it only feeds the need and your stress levels! Think of that cash saved so far!!!!Good luck with the voucher, Lynsey.
Fantastic news, Brightspark!! However, would you please pop your SPC No on your signature? Hello potters, a grey day here, but mustn't grumble, it was beautiful sunshine yesterday so who knows what tomorrow may bring. 87p for the pot, and still no roadkill, am beginning to get roadkill envy, must try harder.....
Happy potting!!I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0 -
Afternoon everyone
Busy week so far so much going on in work!
