  • Hi all,

Please may I join your SPC? I've actually been doing it since January but I've only just joined MSE. You all sound as if you're having fun with it!

I've no idea how much I've collected already as I don't count before potting and am hoping for a lovely surprise when we finally open them. As luck would have it, the big pot opening date is just before I head off on a holiday of a lifetime to celebrate a big scary birthday so anything saved will go towards enjoying that adventure.

Looking forward to potting with you!

Haven't potted or posted all week, been burning the candle at both ends with studying for my M.Ed, applying for another course (12 page application form) and proof-reading a friend's dissertation - all on top of going to work! But today I dropped a shiny £1 coin in my terramundi and 98p into my smash jar.

Just over a year ago a colleague got engaged, I gave her a 'Wedding Fund' terramundi as an engagement gift yesterday she told me they had opened it (wedding is in 3 weeks) and over £700 came tumbling out. She is thriilled said she can't believe it as she didn't feel the pressure of 'saving' dropping coins in here and there. She has put some of the money aside to buy a 'Baby Fund' pot next.

Hope everyone is is looking forward a Spring weekend!

I think that this just shows why the Sealed Pot challenge works for so many of us. We don't feel pressure to save lots but it all adds up so quickly.

Speaking of which, £1.50 of my contribution today came from walking home and saving the bus fare yesterday. I was knackered when I got home :D There's at least another £1 in change getting added too :money:

    Morning everyone
nell Wow what an inspiration to other people you are, good for you kid xx

Sue not in Poland yet Hun, just getting prepared, our friends are both in their 60's (young at heart & great fun.) but I like to plan everything in advance to make sure we see everything we need to see, J calls it sparky's tours!

Daily £3 potted, 2 X £2 coins potted plus what would have been the lotto ticket money potted into the New York 2015 spending fund. 1p road change safely potted. Into the scooter, MoT £20, tax £16 & tank of fuel £5.00 pot. Done this for the last 3 years & never paid for any myself, thanks to people just dropping change, long May it carry on but now that LC2 is back in town, my findings might drop!

Hope everyone has a great Friday, stay safe & keep saving

wtg Sparky on the road kill - I think so far this year I've had two whole 5p's!! - you must have beaten me to it all.
£2.88 for the pot today, have to say the story of the terramundi is inspiring, it just shows whats possible when you aren't under any pressure. I'm not even thinking about how much I may get in mine, as want to feel thrilled when opening, not pot envy.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
