Hi all, I'm still quietly potting away when I can. Not much (had quite a few NSD's), but managed 1p roadkill and a few other coins found around the house (from DH!) this week. My pot is just over 2 months old and considering I haven't been potting very often, it is starting to get heavy now, so pleased about this.SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89

50p of DH booty popped into my pot. Honestly, if he didn't leave it lying around then it wouldn't walk towards my pot!

Another £2 for the pot today. Resisted the urge to give it a shake, will save that for another day. I need to get out more.....I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Please may I join your SPC? I've actually been doing it since January but I've only just joined MSE. You all sound as if you're having fun with it!
I've no idea how much I've collected already as I don't count before potting and am hoping for a lovely surprise when we finally open them. As luck would have it, the big pot opening date is just before I head off on a holiday of a lifetime to celebrate a big scary birthday so anything saved will go towards enjoying that adventure.
Looking forward to potting with you!
A very warm welcome, Older But Not Wiser. It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving, posting and joining in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1st post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. Here y'are, Lynne, a shiny gold star for a very good welcome. :staradmin
Many thanks, 32b3, really happy with that little lot!!25p is still good for you and far more than I get 6 days a week.
Hi everyone
Just popped in to show my face (see Sue-UU am keeping my promise lol!)
Xx
You are indeed, mommyof4, and it's a joy to see. I'll keep a watchful eye just in case.
You still did good too, Indie Kid. Owt's better than nowt.
I'm pleased I made you happy, jakes-mum. Brilliant work with your 1/2 price shopping!!!
50p's good, charlieyates, and a whole lot better than being spent! :jHaven't potted or posted all week, been burning the candle at both ends with studying for my M.Ed, applying for another course (12 page application form) and proof-reading a friend's dissertation - all on top of going to work! But today I dropped a shiny £1 coin in my terramundi and 98p into my smash jar.
Just over a year ago a colleague got engaged, I gave her a 'Wedding Fund' terramundi as an engagement gift yesterday she told me they had opened it (wedding is in 3 weeks) and over £700 came tumbling out. She is thriilled said she can't believe it as she didn't feel the pressure of 'saving' dropping coins in here and there. She has put some of the money aside to buy a 'Baby Fund' pot next.
Hope everyone is is looking forward a Spring weekend!
You go steady burning that candle, Hope! What a gift you gave your friend eh??! You could never have given a better present at all. No wonder she's so thrilled with it. :j
I totally agree with your words, mooomin, as saving without feeling any pressure to save is why it's so very successful.Amazing what we might normally just fritter away too!
Well done on covering both post, DeafLeopard.
Hi Pmo2! Lovely to see you popping in - saving too. Don't work too hard.
I must admit that had me puzzled to think you were in Krakov already, sparky, as I didn't think it was yet. You be careful with LC2's directions mind! :rotfl: Great news about the roadkill, totally amazing!
A very wise way of viewing your savings, AlwaysHappy, a lovely surprise.
Oooops, I got to go, folks, we're off out with DD, DGKiddies and the dogs to the river and fields, blissful. Well done, EVERYONE, with your savings!!!
I hope you're all really enjoying the weekend, SPCers!

£2 coin off DH today after he went shopping with DS for tomorrowAlso after 18 months of walking round in an ill fitting bra I finally bought a new one :j :j you blokes wont understand the pleasure of a brand new properly fitting one but I know the ladies on here will understand me completely
only cost £48 as well, lady was ever so apologetic that it was 'one of the expensive ones' until I pointed out the last one I bought was probably nearly £100 so I felt I was getting a bit of a bargain :rotfl:
