A gold star to you, 32b3, thanks for the help and welcome. :staradmin

It started out beautiful here too, AlwaysHappy, then after lunch it clouded over and stayed that way, quite a chilly wind too. Still, tomorrow's set to be good and Thursday better!! :j

Wow, that's quite a varied and very fulfilled career, Caz, and I bet you wouldn't have changed it for anything....but you still found time to have young'ns yourself!! :D Stay busy, Caz, it's obviously doing you a heck of a lot of good.

...and about time too, Vicky! Though you've potted a £5er so you're forgiven! :p

Ah come on, jakes-mum, at least it was a fair amount so you should be beaming now. :D
Enjoy your evening and Tuesday, folks, and keep that saving going!

  • Hi all

Just emptied my purse - only a paltry 25p to go into the pot, but I'm heartened to see that I've still got £30 unspent from the weekly trip to Lidl...hoping I won't have to break into it this week, because that'll give a healthy boost to my pot.

Thank you to everyone who keeps this thread going - it's brilliant for keeping newbies like me on track. To think....just a couple of weeks ago, I'd have spent that 30 quid on nothing much at all!!

    Keep it coming....please!!!

    Hello,[STRIKE]potty[/STRIKE] potting people greet024.gif.
My tabletop sale yesterday made me £35.55.I am quite pleased with this (better than a poke in the eye with a hot poker  ),but I still came home with tooooooo muuuuucccchhhhhh STUFF!!!So far, what I bought home is still in the car because I can't face dragging it all back up to the loft, and over the weekend I made such a mess around the house (sorting out stuff coming down from the loft, looking for stuff to sell),there is no room to just dump it in the house. So at the moment our 7-seater car is a 2-seater :D.And the house looks like a [STRIKE]damn[/STRIKE] (oops) tip:I am abit cross with myself for the way it is at the moment  (first time I've ever used that emoticon on MSE).
Originally I wasn't sure whether I would pot my whole takings from yesterday-thought I might put some straight into the bank. But have decided while typing this that I will pot the whole £35.55:that will be a big boost, and if I put it straight into the bank it will only go out again on a direct debit or something. And it will cheer me up abit.

    Have a lovely week,my friends.

Ooohh, diddley, you are in sooooooo much trouble.Just wait til Sue gets home and finds out what you've been doing :rotfl:.
Because my tin is, ahem, SEALED,I can't count it (though theoretically I could read back through my posts annd add it all up),so all I can do is lift it up and feel the weight.I do quite like the idea of weighing my pot.Not that it would really give me any idea of how many £ are in there, cos it is mixed denomination, including notes. But it might be a fun exercise.....

You might get the naughty step for a day but at least you didn't spend any and you say that's the last 'peek' :)

Potted my pound today so pot's starting to chink again.

Hope you all have a :D Tuesday (:shhh: we had sunshine today)

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Clear skies last night after a lovely day resulted in a frost today!! Hope it clears quickly and we're planning on a garden tidy up tomorrow.

Potted £3 which included one of the beautiful £2 coins.

Well done on the takings! Rather than unpack all the unsold stuff again is there any chance there's another sale at the weekend to try again? Otherwise there's good old fleabay :)

Well a respectable £1.67 potted. It would have been more but DH had to drive me to the supermarket (bad back still :() and he 'helped' me to shop  Never mind...

Welcome to any newbies, happy potting!

    Hi everyone
Well it's a glorious day! Just been out with my dogs and everyone I came across seemed happy! Let's hope this weather lasts :)

Potted a few coins last night and this morning. Can definitely hear a different noise now when dropping them in... must be a thicker covering lol

Sue-UU I would really love to have some chooks but our yard is minute, plus I can imagine our neighbours complaining :(

    Enjoy the weather everyone x
