You're quite welcome to include your coffee jar savings with the Terramundi savings in November, Hope, just pop it on your signature when it's banked. BTW, I'd imagine your friend's pot would hold a LOT, depending on what coins she saves.
[Quote-mommyof4]Soooo jealous of you guys who have hens! Would love to have a big enough garden. They seem to have their own little personalitiesIt's been a beautiful day here, the sunshine really lifts your spirits [/quote]
You don't need anywhere huge to keep chicken, mommyof4, you could just have a couple and have a small coop and pen. I completely agree about the sunshine, it works wonders for us all. :happyhear
We used to have 2 Lavender bantams (Dolly & Ruby) a few years, Caz, they laid small blue eggs which the Grandchildren adored!
So you've taught too then.
Don't let them upset you, Hicks, you've done no harm....other than come from a JK family!! :rotfl:
Morning skilly, good to see you.Lynsey wrote:We went to Albufeira as it's the main resort and the Algarve is quiet out of main season. Best place to base from, unless you want it really quiet. We hired a car, so went out a few days. It was a break, the weather wasn't great, but it wasn't bad and virtually no rain, well apart from during the night. Cheap as chips out of season and a good time for a "cheapie" break.
No more holidays now until the 26th March.
Off to Costa del Sol for a wee break. Thanks to this thread and motivation, the savings are being put to good use.
Ah, Albufeira eh, Lynsey! Our DD went their in the late 90s with her friends and adored it. Thanks so much for the information, my DH has never flown and is terrified of heights (me too), but to my mind, when I went to Germany with our lass, it's totally different once you get in the sky. He says he will "one day", we'll see. Thanks again. it certainly sounds a great time to go. :grinheart
Aha! So you went to Albufeira as well then, Lynne, good to hear you enjoyed it also.
Oh yes, Rosy, hasn't it been just wonderful....so far! We went for a beautiful walk early yesterday morning...it was utter bliss!
I hope you had a well deserved rest, Meowhouse, if not then you should have done!
Good saving, Saver-upper!
You're doing well, Helen, don't knock whatever savings you pot, it'll still swell the pot!
Lucky you, curly!!!Shocked at your Mum though, she's old enough to know better!
Well done on moving on up, 32b3! :Tdiddley_ wrote:When I started this challenge I asked my lads if they wanted to join me but they weren't keen. But today they gave me left over money from there college lunches, :T and along with last couple of weeks left over shopping money I've potted £65.
I'm so pleased, not just with the amount but with my lads as well. Roll on November.
Have a great week everone
Xx
Well done your lads, diddley, and what a sum already!!! :j Your lads may well be following in Mum's footsteps when they've families of their own in time to come.
Brilliant work, mossy!! :T
Excellent saving for you, Hollygym, just as well you' forgotten about it. :j Well done on saving DH's money too!
Hi Mumof3, lovely to see you and good work with the potting.
Absolutely brilliant news that you've paid off your debts, blubella!!!! Thanks for letting us know, Lynne.
Hello Modesty! I really do hope things aren't too bad with you and your DD for now. {{{Hugs}}} for you all.
Kerry - where are you???? You've been missing for ages, I've given you chance to have a holiday and be back again...but still no Kerry! I hope you're ok and not ill. If you see this then please send me a PM, though I'll probably send you one in a moment anyway. Take care whatever.

Evening everyone,:hello:
A varied life Sue-UU!! From farming to working for HMIT, then college p/t while doing other jobs. Then teaching young offenders, they were fun! Got my post graduate also p/t and went into training and teaching in college where I worked on training and personal development within the workplace with the students.
Now enjoy pottering [ and potting! ] in the garden with chickens and the fabulous Rosie. :j No skills learnt are wasted! i.e. making jam, chutney ,bread, form filling and meeting new people are all things i learnt in the past.
Sorry this is a bit of a ramble!! Anyway, potted my usual £2 and tipped a load of change in my pot. Will repay the borrowed money to potty when the pension goes in !!
