Even though I have a wedding coming up and various other things going on I hope that I can join and save at least £300!

    Fingers crossed

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

A gold star for you, Ruth, a lovely welcome. :staradmin It's good to hear about your pup, I bet she's a bundle of fun and keeps you acive. How old is she now and what's her name? I really do hope you car wasn't/won't be too pricey.

Thanks so very much indeed for your lovely Birthday wishes, everyone, I appreciated them so much and know full well that Caz will have done, though TWO cakes, greedy beggar!!! We had a simply goooorgeous one from M!rrisons, fresh cream and jam, simply delicious and only £3 something. Sparky, I get spoiled rotten every day and love it, he's an absolute gem! :kisses2: What a delightful day we had too, and so many gifts.....and the promise of an Indian on the 20th...no idea what he will taste like!

Belated wishes are just as lovely as 'on the day' ones, Rosy, at least that's what I always tell folk when I miss theirs, I'm sure they are.

    Hi Sue

I know an injury or worse doesn't bear thinking about. Just had one thing after another with it since Xmas doesn't help when folk nag in ur "ud be better off buying a new one" but that's partly what got me into this mess. But....the way I see it now is that while the cost over a year is still cheaper than a year of car payments my wee CeCe is staying!

Easy for folk that may well have the means to buy to say that sort of thing, Hope, but for those of us that just can't afford to do so it's a case of sticking with the devil you know, after all, a different car doesn't always mean no new problems now does it!! ;) You tell em that and lets hope things will settle down a bit for you soon.

    Happy Birthday Sue!

Still potting away with my £2 daily, plus a bit of shrapnel every now and then.I have 2 new hens, Molly and Maud and of course, the fabulous Rosie hound!Haven't found any roadkill to add to the pot,but plenty of time.
    Enjoy 'our' birthday Sue
    Caz

Thank you so much, Caz! Oh, I just adore chocolate cake, but we had jam and vanilla as it's what the family like best. :(:D I hope you had a really lovely day, we had a gorgeous one, then had a perfect evening with the children and Grandchildren, bliss!! :j Hubby & I have chicken too, so many common interests...so much madness! ;) Well, I have heard that God made chickens to show he had a sense of humour, what more can I say! :rotfl: Sorry, I got Rosie's name wrong - must have been reminded of our SPC Rosy...sorry Rosy! See you next year on the 5th, Caz! Well, and before I know, but you know what I mean.

You may not be doing well at the moment, LeopardPrintsAndTea, but head down and budget well and save the same way! Keep focused! ;)

My day is going downhill, got flashed by a speed camera this afternoon! First time ever! Never had as much as a parking ticket in over 30 years of driving, now expecting £60 fine and 3 points on my licence (sob) forums.moneysavingexpert.com
    Was doing 35 in a 30 zone ( honestly didn't realise ). Am gutted forums.moneysavingexpert.com

What a sad shame, mommyof4, :( but hopefully you won't make the same mistake again. :) You may even be lucky as they don't always work, but whatever, it's done now so chalk it up to experience as it may well have helped you be more conscious and stopped you having an accident. Keep on the look out for speed zones!
Take note of what IHead's said.

Many thanks, little_sweetie. What a something or other that Dr was!! Most young'ns here can be marvellous with their new methods and better than the older ones, sadly some don't always have the bedside manner and sympathetic ear which is always needed. Take it easy, but keep mobile - and as he said.....taking the pills. ;)

VERY well done, shellyosborne!! You're going great guns!

Have a lovely Wednesday, folk, and keep the saving up! forums.moneysavingexpert.com

Thank you for my star Sue. I shall treasure it always however i can only keep one on show on my signature, the number next to it is the number i have at home in my cabinet which is full of ones you have given me in the past. I love each on equally :)

I'm glad to hear you had a good day :)

Dot (my pup) is doing great. Very much a pain in the bum but i love her regardless. I'd love nothing more than to give up work and spend all day every day cuddling her :) She's 18 weeks on Sunday. We are currently doing the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation course and i think we're both loving it.

As for my car..... i have it back, i think it's had a lot of work done to it however my mechanic isn't the quickest at invoicing me so i won't know for a while. I'm thinking upwards of £500 though :(
