Potted £3.50 today, and counted the pot - total of £24.12 so far

My day is going downhill, got flashed by a speed camera this afternoon! First time ever! Never had as much as a parking ticket in over 30 years of driving, now expecting £60 fine and 3 points on my licence (sob)
Was doing 35 in a 30 zone ( honestly didn't realise ). Am gutted

Looks like I won't be potting much for a while...... Off to get a glass of wine to drown my sorrows ....

Sometimes they will flash but they are not recording every car they flash. If you get a letter, ask them for proof it was you. If they dont have a photo of your car driving through you can contest it as they dont have proof.
My dad did this a few years back and they had his numberplate and the time of day etc but no photo so they had no leg to stand on x

Don't panic yet ,mommyof4, 'cos sometimes there's no film in the camera even though it flashes. If you do get a ticket you might be able to do an awareness course which means you don't get the points on your licence although you do have to pay for the course My OH took the one day course instead of points (although the course cost £80 :cool:) What a rotten day for you. It's always the ones like you who are law abiding who seem to be unlucky.

No potting for me today because I'm still pretty immobile I was persuaded to see the GP today as the pain is still quite bad but I wish I hadn't bothered. The young GP was totally disinterested and actually yawned while I was talking to him :mad: He didn't examine me at all and his attitude was take painkillers...or not...as you wish :mad: It's the first time I've seen a GP in 4 years so I'm not a bother to them. How I wish I had my old doctor back. He had time and a genuine concern....
