£3.41 potted by me today. My pot is sealed and no one touches it other than me, but after saying it was getting full up weeks ago, it does not seem to be getting any closer to being completely full. I know there is loads of money in it, but I want it to be full.
It weighs 7.5lb.

I had to laugh as I could of written your post!! I too am desperate to for my pot to be full so I can pop it in the cupboard and get myself another shine tin!!
I have resorted to putting a wooden skewer thru the money slot to try and guage how full it is! i may give it a weigh tonight too never thought of that.
I too have been potting away slowly but surely not really knowing how much i am poutting or trying to wprk out how much is in there I am starting to feel like an expectant parent wondering if i am going to have a boy or a girl...will I cover the cost of Christmas or not. I am sure I will, I hope I will and I know it will be the best Christmas ever if i do so as I find it all a bit of a stress. I will be absolutly painfully excited come November!!
Whilst cleaning my utility room last night at the back of a cupboard I found an tin that at one point was sealed full of copper so my job tonight is to count it out put it into my bank account and then draw out the money straight away to go in my pot! I never thought that the highlight of my day would be counting coppers!!
I hope you are all well and happy pottingBSC no.370 AD March 14

Hi all
Just 10p for me today, which includes 5p roadkill
I think there's an old, battered penny in the bottom of my handbag too, so I'll fish that out and pot it tonight.
Glad you're back Sue, I was wondering if you'd been flooded, I do hope not!

I potted £2 x2 and some coins altogether £4.95! Not much but I hope to keep it up and fill those jars.
Welcome to all newbies from another newbiehope you enjoy potting as much as I do. (I'm sure I'll be one of those weighing and shaking my jars if there will be enough coins - now I can count just by looking at it
)
Sorry to hear about the hospital visits and car park charges - someone mentioned -maybe on another thread? - that you may ask for some visitor card or what so you don't need to pay for parking? Not sure about it but would worth a try asking.
Have a lovely day everyone.6mo EF: £ /£

Thank you for adding me! I need all the encouragement I can get!!
Today I found £1.05 lurking in the door seal of the washing machine, so I've potted that. Also found £1.51 in my purse that I'll swear wasn't there last night...I don't know where it has come from or what it's for, so it's going in the pot too.

Everyone is doing sooo well.We are a funny lot, weighing and shaking and measuring depths with skewers :rotfl:.
Mrsdalloway,I waas just going to say, that you could put your SPC number in your signature, for immortality. That way you don't need to remember to do it each post.(And I think it helps out Sue and Sparky -AHEM,I said SPARKY!! )
To add to your signature,go to "Quick Links" at the top of the screen,on the right side. There is a drop-down bar,it includes a "edit signature" option. There you can post all sorts of "stuff",incuding your SPC number.Hope this helps, and not too confusing.
I seem to have gained another MSE star overnight,I wonder if it is because I posted my 200th post last night.

Morning all, £10 potted today .
I am another one that likes to pot more now and As i spend more time in the garden I pot less money and pot more plants
:hello:hello to all new people .
So long as you're potting one way or tother, skilly, it's great news as the garden potting is a saving too!WishICouldFindMySlippers wrote: »£4.70 potted todayBringing me to a whopping £97.28
Would have been £9.70 but the cashier in Tesco refused to give me all my change in coins, she looked at me like I was a crazy person for not wanting a note :rotfl:
Then coming home, car suddenly lurched toward the kerb. Stopped and had a look, and my front passenger-side tyre had come right off the rim  £50 for the breakdown truck and who knows how much today to get the wheel sorted
Brilliant saving, WishICouldFindMySlippers, a great Total so soon! :j By eck, you were so VERY fortunate the tyre wasn't on the driver's side and lurched into the road!!!!! A pricey day for sure, but a small price to pay for your safety!Re the cashier in Tesco: she's either never heard of SPC or is one of us (come on, own up!) and was pig jealous as she guessed where that change was headed!! :rotfl:
You ARE doing well with saving, princess-angelica, stay focused!!!!
Oi LC 2...what's this being off topic then?? Eh?? You're as bad as her in Cambridge..you know what's her name. Good to hear the littlies having fun and you...lapping it up.
Do the best you can, DueMarch11, that's all we can possibly ask. Best wishes with the overdraft.
Well done, smiffy64, and lovely to have you drop in. I hope your lad has a lovely Birthday, sounds as though there will be plenty of fun. :j
That's great work, moomin, thanks a lot.
That was sweet of you, Rosy, DH & I are fine thanks. There's a lot of flood misery here, leccy troubled homes too, but we are so very lucky - and live part way up a hill.As I say, lucky!

That was me, evuka, though that was because we had a relative dying. However, I'm sure that if someone's in there for some while that the hospital staff would show compassion - either way - it's well worth asking about. :Amrsdalloway wrote:I'm liking this game

I love this thread. My daughter is an avid mse-er and I couldn't understand why she was always doing challenges. But they are so addictive.
Today I've potted £30 , that's what was left from my own grocery challenge last week. I didn't realise that I used to buy/spend just for the sake of being in a supermarket, but flippy eck I'm glad I've had my lightbulb moment.
I've got my gorgeous grandson staying tonight so we're going to watch thomas the tank for a while.
