Just £2.84 for me this week. Do people count their £1 and £2 coins in their totals?
Yes, unless they are doing a separate challenge with £1 or £2 coins. Any that I have get dropped into a separate pot but are all included at the end. I just keep them separate so that they are easy to count in NovemberSealed Pot Challenge #012

sort_me_own_yard_out, it sounds as though you're doing all that's possible in order not to waste money as well as saving it, just keep up what you're doing, you can't do fairer than that.
Excellent Lynne!! :T The worse part is preparing to quit, the thought of doing so frightens us, but once we get started we find that, it's so much easier to do without it then we'd ever thought. Bon voyage, Lynne, it's a journey so worth taking and the best you'll ever take.
I hope you'll soon be feeling much better, moomin, here are some {{{hugs}}} to help.
Good luck with your much bigger issues, Lynsey, I hope all goes well.jakes-mum wrote:Jake is off to get his braces todayI'm happy! . . . . He is not :rotfl:, pfft, he's only got to have them 14 months, I had 2 1/2 years! . . . My sister had 4 years :rotfl:
Looking at that quickly, jakes-mum, it reads more like prison sentences!! :rotfl:joee wrote:I am sorry to hear your sil was burgled, as far as I am aware you can pay your money to the bank at any time - you just add a note in your signature to let Sue and Sparky keep a running total. I believe this is right but I know that Sue and the many other lovely people here will be able to give you the correct advice if I am wrong!
Well done, joee! You got it perfectly correct!! :j That deserves a gold star for you. :staradmin Rest up, Lucy, and look after yourself.
So there you go, princess-angelica, as joee says, you're most welcome to bank cash after you've collected it, rather that than risk it any day! Just please be sure to keep a running total on your siggy please, thanks and commiserations with your SIL, sadly there are some rotten b*****s about!!!
You're doing marvellously, madhatter, and £1.50 every few days is a VERY good amount and will be huge for you in November! :jlittle_sweetie wrote:Sue it's such a relief to hear that people are getting food and medical supplies in somehow. Who is paying the £1000 per day? Council? Government? I feel so sad for them all.
One of our friends (ex-neighbour) who has a pub at Upton-on -Severn was on TV last night saying how the flood barriers have saved the area. He has only had the pub for a few months so it could have been a total disaster for him..phew...]
I can't save for absolute certain, little_sweetie, but I'm nigh on positive it was the Council, which was excellent work; they were going to stop after a week or so, but more bad weather pushed them to stay. I don't know why they haven't clubbed together and bought their our own dinghy/small boat in order to be able to get from A to B, makes sense to me. Your landlord friend was extremely fortunate with his pub! Thankfully, we do hear of the good stories too.Hope78 wrote:Just £2.84 for me this week. Hope78 - most of us count ANYTHING so you save any denomination you wish as the more coins you save the bigger amount you'll have saved in November!!
{Quote=Saver88]SUE, I think it's going to be hard to quit for DH as he doesn't want to. He's only doing it for me. But at least he's trying[/quote]
Yes, I understand what you mean, Saver, but you might tell him that......fellars find it so much easier than we women as they don't have the hormonal ups and downs. If he likes DIY or anything at all that he's interested in....get him doing it to keep his mind focused. Don't forget to tell him about the "Quitters Pledge"!!
Have a good Wednesday, SPCers, and PLEASE keep SAFE!!!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.

XLC2
Arrived this time LC2! And what was left looked amazing :rotfl: but wheres MY bit?!?! :rotfl:
Looking at that quickly, jakes-mum, it reads more like prison sentences!! :rotfl:
Haha, felt like a prison sentence too, especially to my big sister as she went off to university still with the darned things in, top and bottom tracks! BUT she now has the most amazing smile which I am totally envious of (as the dentist decided my bottom teeth didnt need braces and now they are horribly crooked) This is why I pushed for Jake to get them as soon as and was pleased they said they would do top and bottom on him
He hasnt got his bottom fixed one in yet, seems he has to wait 2 months for that, but he's got that really thick voice on at the minute while hes trying to learn to talk round the brace :rotfl: and yes he has already took it out :rotfl: got told to stick it straight back in again!
He's actually really lucky as his top brace doesnt go across the front of his teeth, just clips on to his back teeth, so unless he told you, you would never know it was in there! He doesnt feel so lucky though
Some pennies in the pot today, no idea how much as forgot to count it :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Could I join in with this challenge please, have only just found it!
Have been putting loose change into sealed pots since the start of the year. I have 2 of those ones you need a tin opener to get into, one for coppers and one for silver, then another piggy bank for £2 coins.
No idea how much is in there yet, would like a wee surprise at the end of the year!0 -

Hi littlepinkstars44 and a very warm welcome to you! It looks as though you're on to a very good start already and you'll find we are a very friendly and supportive bunch on here! When you get a minute read the first post of the thread where you'll find lots of information. Sue-UU leads the thread and she'll be along soon to give you a number. When you get this add it to your signature - also if you bank any of your money put what you've banked in your signature so that sparky (our counter-upper!) can keep an accurate total!! That's all I can think of at the moment, happy potting!!!
