GettingOrganised wrote: »Hi, I came across this challenge over the weekend and thought it was a great idea. So, I've joined the forum, got myself a moneybox (now sealed up!) and put whatever lose change I had in it.
All I need now is to join and get a number please. I'm going to set my target at £300.
Wow you really are living up to your username... Well done you.
Sue will be along shortly to give you a number. I'm sure being so organised you would have already read the first post but just in case you haven't head over there as soon as you can. There are some great tips on there too.
Most of all just have fun. Trust me, you never know how amazing finding a penny feels until you are a member of this thread xxSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

:hello: newbies welcome to the thread and good luck with your savings:D
Well the final day before payday tomorrow has finally arrived at last! It's seems forever ago that I got paid, but I can't believe we are 3 weeks into January - I know this is weird!
Have a grand total of £41 left in the bank so have decided to add £40 to my car savings and pot the remaining £1
At least now I can go to the bank and will have bits and pieces to pot.
Will also be paying my pot this week for taking lunch to work instead of buying it - that felt really good before but have needed to do it out of necessity rather than choice for the last couple of weeks
Hopefully for the last January ever!! As from here on in I'm going to use some of my SPC monies once I have paid for Xmas :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Lots of potting going on which is great:T
Been cold and frosty here today so take care and keep warm everyone xMeowhouse SPC #7 no 199 £560.58

Went out last night with friends and had budgeted £20. Chose carefully, drank soft drinks and then one of them (there were 3 of us) went and paid. Tried to insist on her taking the cash - we both did, she refused point blank and said it would be my time next time. Have potted the money (which I will probably regret at the next "night out") but am really annoyed as well with the situation. They both knock back the drinks and tbh I found the evening boring and I was glad to get home to my dh. If it hadn't been for the financial turn of events which has made me feel I need to stand my round I would be finding ways to get out of going. I don't want to be mean though - the other girl made a comment that we would be going for a bag of chips when it was my turn which isn't the case, but nor do I really want to spend £80!!!! Dilemma's eh...... sorry for the rant. I should be pleased I've potted £20!!!I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Another £3.50 in the pot.
Cleared out a cupboard and found an old pot full of 1p, 2p and 5p pieces that I will count up and add to the pot (when I've got an hour free that is!) :ASPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.830 -
