Of course you can join us, BirdSeed and luckyH. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Hello there, ETO, are you on the right thread?! Thanks to you and to you, Modesty, for your tireless work, both day and night, over several weeks that I really have appreciated immensely! :T :TThank you both so very, very much indeed, Sue's :A:A for certain! xx
Oooops! Sorry ETO, I got a bit side-tracked then. Well done on the savings for you and your treasure.
Not to worry about not having posted much, katsta1, it's good to see you now. It's difficult if we don't have much money to pot for whatever reason, but if we can at least motivate you a little then why not lurk a little - you'll learn quite a bit here from your SPC friends! Well done with that £1!! :j
Here's hoping you both enjoyed the party, little_sweetie. I don't blame you for not turning it down.amiehall wrote:I've actually been really proud of myself as I'm really trying to lose weight at the moment and I've totally banned myself from buying food when I'm out in the day. When I'm studying hard is normally when I start pigging out on chocolate from the vending machine to fuel a late night study session. I've been really sticking to it, and I've managed to lose 5kg since October. I guess that's less change for the pot though!
Wonderful news, amiehall!! :T You've achieved a lot since October, so, I'd suggest, every time you're able, that you put some money in the pot to reward yourself. It doesn't matter how much it is, the fact that you're rewarding yourself will help push you on even further. Good luck to you.
Oh Modesty, you sound so sad, but........there's the end of the year to look forward to when it starts all over again.....if you wish? I know I do!!! :grinheartBTW, there's a message for you both at the top. Good potting with that £1.
As the others say, jakes-mum, ask about the lightness over yonder they'll soon let you know. It's been yonks since I've made it (I have problems), but yes, you can make Bread Pudding (tight devil not using sultanas :rotfl:). Re that chap, sounds like his brazenness is his way of getting through, though how he isn't terrified silly is beyond me!
All best wishes with the car, Meowhouse, and then more savings for you! :j
Good luck to you, Beth and moomin with the WSC. You'll succeed.
I never saw a thing, glassy. :idea:That one will be ok, but we're not supposed to, but it's done on various threads and can (all being well) be gained from. BTW, I'm unable to take anyone's post off, members are able to delete their own if there's a need, but I won't tell if you don't! :shhh:
Glad to hear you felt better for your lie-in, 32b3. I hope the shopping trip was a good one.Cash4AnnyQ wrote:Hi all,
After a recalculation of my incomings/outgoings, I have concluded that it is more feasible for me to combine my SPC with my £2014 for 2014 challenge. So this week's grand total is: £28.20!!!
Every little helps!
It sounds excellent to me, Cash4AnnyQ, terrific saving!!!!If anyone else wishes to do the same - go for it.
YAY tokicat...it's still saved!
You also, lynnsey30, it's all savings no matter how small/large. :j
Thank you, Kerry, and good for you.
Well done, Lynsey! I was going to say "that's quick", but for you...no it isn't.
A good one, skilly, and I take it you've seen to your siggy?
You do that, Sams, and very well done.I'm so pleased you're here today as it's the first time since your planned walk home.....and as you'd not been seen I was about to launch a search with all SPCers. :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j you get the picture. Did you do it? There's a message from Rosy for you about 3 pages back re trainers not walking boots. Have a butchers.
Enjoy the day and evening, SPCers, keep saving well!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!
Very many thanks indeed.Sue x
Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. A very happy Monday afternoon to you all
i love this thread and this challenge, everyones enthusiasm for potting those pennies is so encouraging, and am looking forward to many happy endings when all the totals are added up in November!
I managed 19.6 miles walking last week, so my sponsorship money of £1.96 goes in, with a few bits of odd change.
Hoping to walk far more this week (if the lousy weather stops) gaining £s and losing lbs is the name of the game!

I did use sultanas! and the pair of them moaned at me :rotfl: on the other hand, took half over to my dad (as hes still recovering from his bunion removal) and he was very pleased there were so many sultanas in ityou just cant please all the people all the time. It seems im getting a daddy score out of 10 when he and mum try it later, its gluten free so I dont think it will taste exactly the same but he cant moan too much, it was a free pudding after all :rotfl:
quite a few pennies in my pot today and ive started a 3rd pot as I now have so much stock in my cupboards from bulk buying that im going to buy them back from myself (to build up a pot to restock when they come back on offer again) now do I add the money from this into the challenge or keep it seperate?

Hi, I came across this challenge over the weekend and thought it was a great idea. So, I've joined the forum, got myself a moneybox (now sealed up!) and put whatever lose change I had in it.
All I need now is to join and get a number please. I'm going to set my target at £300.
