    Morning all :D

I'm really pleased for you Nell. Shame you had all that unnecessary worry and stress but at least it's sorted now! ;)

Decided to buy sugar soap powder yesterday instead of a bottle of ready made stuff which was a pound cheaper, so have potted that! :D

I went on another 3.6 mile work this morning with my boss. Blimey, she'll be the death of me...let's pick up the pace she says....I loved it of course and our overall pace was up from Wednesday!! It's nice to have a walking buddy, especially one who is so motivated! :j

On the downside, I didn't end up being ready in time for Church so decided to get caught up on some housework etc. We pick DD up from her Brownies weekend away at 4pm so I want to have every done by then so that we can all snuggle up and watch a movie before she has an early night!!

Anyway, I've just taken a little break for toast and MSE. Best get on with some more chores. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday peeps. :hello:
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

I don't think any of us would knock earning that amount on !bay or anywhere else, little_sweetie, in fact, I'm envious and really must have a go at it. Apart from which, T has such beautiful items here he's made on his lathe and they're way to good to stay here mounting up. He made a beautiful lamp yesterday, made from spalted beech (wood with a fungus patterning it) which is superb! I will set it all up soon, honest! :)

Good for you with all you're doing, MissE, as it makes such a difference. :D

I really like this thread it is great putting your lose money in a pot before you get the chance to spend it on rubbish!

I'm pleased to read that, Pickle, as it's so true of us all - IF we hadn't saved we'd have blown it. A good save at A!di! :j

Well done to your DS, mumof3plusoh, though I sympathised with all the mud. My DS used to be in the army cadets and did all sorts whatever the weather and used to come home with him and his kit filthy! :( Still, it was lovely as he so enjoyed it. :D

That chap in the supermarket had one he*l of a nerve, jakes-mum! The rest of us scrimp and save for food and he just helps himself!!!

    Excellent potting, nanto3girls.......

    ....you too, Tom! :j

Instinct told me you'd really enjoy it, fishcakes, and I'm really pleased you did.

Sue have you tried knee supports? I expect you know way more about it than me, I use them when walking and they help. Got 'em from Boots. Also I agree about walking boots when it's muddy, I wouldn't be without mine on my long distance walks, but they can be quite hard on the joints can't they if you're on hard surfaces.

    I've treated myself today :o
Had my nails done! Decided it's time I started to look after myself cos nobody else will, so bought moisturiser etc for face too. I know it's a bit late in life (I'm 53 :o ). Now all I need to do is use it regularly!

Thanks for thinking on, Rosy, but yes, a knee support was the first thing the specialist suggested, DGD bought me one back from Boots at quite a cost, but sadly it caused more pain than ever, but only over the part above the knee which I thought odd! Any ideas or are yours really comfortable? I've never had problems with knees before (aside from arthritis) but did a lot of uphill walking this last autumn - it's then that the problems set in, but I'm now seeing the Physio and have a lot of muscle strengthening exercises.

Why not have your nails done! 53's no age (I promise you! It's only a No, so I tell myself ;)), enjoy pampering yourself, Rosy, I do and always use moisturiser, esp in winter. If it makes you feel good - do it!

Don't you be cheeky, sparky, most of us are girls and we don't have shennanigans, well, not unless we know no one's watching! I hope the weekend gives you both chance to recuperate.

Sue my lovely hubby bought the takeaway and kindly gave me his change as he knows how much joy I get from it :-)

What's that then, Saver, the change or the takeaway! :rotfl: Very well done on !bay and all the best with your other sales.

Fantastic savings, claireyfairy! Stick firm to your budget and you'll always save really well.

Well done, LeopardPrintsAndTea, and thanks for popping it on your siggy.

Enjoy your lie-in, 32b3, it did fishcakes a power of good, now's your turn.

Good luck with the car boot sale, skilly, and well done with the £5er.

Well done with the walking, mossy! Your boss is really doing you good, see you in the marathon next May! :p Ahh, you and your little darling cuddled up watching a film painted a beautiful picture in my mind, lap it up while you can!

Have a really superb Sunday, folks, enjoy yourselves!

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. forums.moneysavingexpert.com :D Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.
    Sue x

I've been revising really hard for my exams lately so I've not really been out spending much!

I've actually been really proud of myself as I'm really trying to lose weight at the moment and I've totally banned myself from buying food when I'm out in the day. When I'm studying hard is normally when I start pigging out on chocolate from the vending machine to fuel a late night study session. I've been really sticking to it, and I've managed to lose 5kg since October. I guess that's less change for the pot though!

I've put in my £3.20 change from the supermarket today though so I'm still plodding on.

Hi Sue, just come over from the reminder thread. Thank you so much for the star. It's been a pleasure doing my bit to help. It's going to be funny not reporting in for duty. :(

Only 5p in coppers today but to celebrate my new star I'm potting a shiny £1 coin out of my holding pot. :D

A big welcome to all new potters.

Nell, glad to hear your finances are sorted. ((Hugs.))

Hugs to all who need one.
