    Good Morning everyone
Fantastic trip to New York, had every kind of weather you could imagine, -15 to -20 degrees upto 50F rain, snow, clear blue sky's & the icing on the cake, snow last friday as we walking to Central Park to go ice skating. Also took a day trip to Washington DC. Totally jet lagged for the last couple of days but it was sooooo worth it.

    Welcome to our newest members.

    Happy Birthday to Miss Lily

Haven't had a chance to catch up on the posts yet there are so many pages but I'll have a quick scan to see what you've all been upto while I've been away

Stay safe & keep saving everyone

I've only added £3.42 to the pot since my last post, but this is mainly due to not buying lunch at work, not spending any money = not getting any change. I was drawing about £35 a week out previously so although the pot isn't looking as healthy as it might, my bank balance is....forums.moneysavingexpert.com

Sadly, BrandNewStart2014, we can't have it both ways, so be happy about your bank balance AND definitely at NOT having forked out for lunches! Your general cutting back is great!! £3.42 in your pot is much better than nothing - it's still money YOU'VE saved so be very happy with that. Save little bits and pieces whenever you can, and - be proud of what you've done and what you're doing. ;)

    It all adds up, Delilahh.

Well done on both counts, littleangels3, though the former was earned. ;)

A gold star earned by you for helping, Beth, moomin :staradmin.....

.....a gold star earned by you too, Saver-upper :staradmin, for the same reason. Thank you, girls, very much.

Oh, that's wonderful, AlwaysHappy, always thinking of your pot first...keep that up, though as if you wouldn't! :D

Hiya Helen and good potting. I think a lot of us are being hit with a lean January, but that's ok and we'll make up for it later, you too, I know that! :rotfl:

Please wish Lilly a Happy Birthday from Aunty Sue, jakes-mum, that's quite a few she's had since we've done SPC. I'm so pleased she's thrilled with her bike...well almost!! Good luck with the cake, here's one just in case! :bdaycake:

Good for you for saving that 1p's life, Modesty!!!!! :j

Have a great time in Portugal, LC 2, don't embarrass yourself too much! :rotfl:

Have a great day, everyone, and let nothing interfere with your saving! forums.moneysavingexpert.com

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. forums.moneysavingexpert.com Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.
    Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.

Thanks Sue :D I've added it to my signature already ;)

I'm going to pot the rest of the money in my work tea fund this afternoon as it's payday tomorrow and I'll draw out £5 to pay for the month's milk/hot water etc. Anything left from this month can go in my pot!

Just caught up 30 pages  this thread does move fast!

ModestyB any road change found went into the collection boxes for the homeless, also had a ticket machine malfunction and got a reclaim slip for $3 it involved phoning the company & going to their offices to redeem the voucher, so I gave it to a homeless guy near to the 911 memorial
