Hello everyone! NSD so I've potted £1 to celebrate.
I did think though that if I wasn't so busy watching squirrels when out with the dogs, I might stand more chance of finding little lost pennies! I'm amazed by some of the sums people are clocking up! Husband has moved his dressing table "kill" pile since I've started taking an interest in it, but don't worry, I'm onto him!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Made a sale at work today so potted the £20! Pleased with that
Sue when you started this did you ever think it would grow so big? :T
Hi Rosy and a great job with that sale! :T
To be honest, I didn't start the SPC originally, a lady called Mumsy started it off back in 2008, but she gave it up mid way through the first year and asked if someone wanted to take it on; that's where I came in. By the end of the first year there were 200 + members. From SPC 2 it just took off like wildfire and grew and grew with each passing year until we now have SPC 7 and it still keeps growing!!
To answer your question: No, never in my wildest dreams did I think it would ever take on as it has, but I'm immensely proud that it has and that all our members, including myself, benefit from it in such a huge way. My only regret is that some who sign up sadly don't seem to return (MSE is so vast they may not be able to track us back or remember the title) and that perhaps as people fail to need MSE they seem to leave us, possibly, hopefully, to continue alone. Who knows! However, we still have a huge SPC family where there is so much happiness and such great camaraderie and long may it continue :grinheart
You're right there, Kerry, and thank you.
A good days potting, 32b3.
Good for you, LeopardPrintsAndTea.Happybeingme wrote: »Just running through tonight as I have a ridiculously busy week! DD1's birthday tomorrow ~ how on earth can she be 15 already????

Well you were left with a lovely lot in the shape of that £5er, Happybeingme, good for you. I hope young Mums & Dads here take note of your words about your DD and do their level best to hang onto the younger years of their kiddies, because, almost in the blink of an eye...their childhood is over and they're young women/men! None of us know how on earth it flew by so fast, but by golly it does! My eldest is 40 and she and her DH have 5 beautiful kiddies, all treasures too, but where did those years in between go?!! Cherish every moment!
That was a good haul, jakes-mum, well done with pressies.
Bad luck, Habibiboo, don't say too much about SPC in future and he may lapse back into old ways, fingers crossed.
Hi sparky, still slow going eh, though not with your money collections it isn't!
I was really hopeful for you with your sofa, BlueDaisy, marvellous! :jHave a good night, all, a lovely day tomorrow.
Sue x
