Today I had to post some ebay sales so the change from the PO went in my pot. Also I am going to use up my mahoosive stash of toiletries before buying any more this year. I'm potting an extra £1 each time I finish a bottle of something instead of buying more. I finished a bottle of shower gel today so that was an extra quid for the pot :TSPC #229= £103.76(2014)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Thanks so much for that lovely welcome, Meowhouse, another gold star earned. :staradmin
Ah but, valkirn, weaning yourself off using the net too much would mean us here at MSE too...not to mention SPC!!
katsta1 wrote:I am new to the sealed pot challenge and posting here in general so excuse me if I screw up. Id like to start the challenge I have put £6.00 in a sealed tin and will aim for £100 as I'm not working at the moment.
MISSL, I understand your problems when saving by yourself, but to help make that easier this time, have a read about the 'holding pot' on the 1st post of page 1, it'll possibly help a lot.
katsta1, you won't screw up, you might make a mistake or two, but everyone does that to start with, just give yourself a chance and never be afraid to ask for help - please! There are plenty of us here to help you out.
I'm delighted for you, lustyrusty, oh what a difference finding a man that can makes, marvellous news! :j
Good for you, samtoby.
Lovely to see you back, beth2242.Delilahh wrote:Am going to try on weekdays to pot a minimum of £2.00 providing I take my own lunch into work.

It's a certain way of coming up trumps in November, Delilahh, stay focused and determined. Have a read about the 'holding pot' on the 1st post of page 1 to help you put a little aside just in case, but all the best with your plans.
Good to see you again, **sparkles** .
Thank you very much indeed, piquant , LC 2 and 32b3, just a rough couple of days that'll soon see me better.Have a good Tuesday, folks, and please - keep safe!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!
Very many thanks indeed.Sue x

Hi Sue, could I please join?
I have a very specific reason to do so and hoping to get near £500, I know it's a bit ambitious. This is for engraving on my hubby's gravestone, he passed away almost 3 years ago but every time I get the money up something goes wrong and it has to be spent.
This year I'm determined to get it done regardless of what happens, I managed to pay for the rest of the funeral but totally forgot about this, d'oh!
ThanksSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

SpiralingDown, I think you will have the wishes of all of us here on SPC that THIS time your wishes will come true and you will succeed in gaining the money necessary.
I know from personal experience with my dear Mum that it's very expensive to have done, I know also the wonderful feeling of accomplishment and relief when it's finally complete.
How about putting aside, if you're able, a certain amount per day or week that will, all being well, cover the costs? I sincerely hope you fulfil your desire asap.
