Sorry been missing in action. I've been doing a fair bit of overtime all of which is going into my savings account eventually! However, I have still been 'potting' on average about £3 a day. I've also started putting any £2 coins I get into the jar.

Hope you feel better soon Sue, it's miserable out there enough without feeling not so great on top.

Been back down the co-0p for more £5 off £20 spends :D now have 123 loo rolls in the cupboard, will be back up there later for another 7 packs, plus they have the taco boxes on £2 so will stock up on them too as my lot looooove tacos! and being gluten free is an added bonus :D

No pennies yet as waiting for eldest to finish school so he can push the trolley for me if im up to another visit, will sort out any change after I get back ;)

Am trying to get rid of my darned sofa as had a phonecall today saying my new one thats not due till 16th is at their warehouse and they have a van passing tomorrow  at the minute I cant even give the thing away! even with an electric recliner with it  if someone hasnt asked for it by tomorrow night we're gonna have to take a saw to it and take it up the tip which is a shame as its in good nick :( cant even get the charities to take it as the recliner no longer has its flame retardent tag on it as DH in his infinite wisdom cut it off with a pair of scissors

Evening folks and hello to all the new potters. Potted £1.10 today so its still going well. Don't want to spend for the sake of it so at the moment there isn't much change, but happy with the way its going and my mentality at the moment - even my son said I was newly frugal the other day, which may have offended me in the past - not now, I was delighted!!
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Saver88, I think we can all understand and sympathise with you as these things are, sadly, easily done. Get it paid off just as soon as possible then come on back and start off again. Your No and name stays exactly where they are so, we'll be waiting when you're ready. See post 1 of page 1 and you'll see what I say about such times, so please don't worry. At least you explained the situation, all the best with sorting it asap.

    Love, Sue xx :kisses3:

Thank you very much sue for your kind words. I have counted and bagged up £120 :j so shall bank that as soon as I can. That will halve the bill so I feel much better with that and it makes it much more manageable now. So £12 going back in pot that couldn't make full bags to get me started off again.

Thank you monkeyballs only got myself to blame which makes it more worse. But onwards and upwards, back to saving :)

  • So I managed to pot £9 today...

Car drama update: failed MOT not because breaks weren't working but because the dashboard said breaks weren't working, Mechanic couldn't fix as a specialist computer is needed. Called Renault and got a quote of £850!!!! Mother suggested asking the 'nice boys' at the place where they put tires on - they couldn't fix it but gave me the number of a boy who could so went to see him - fixed display on dashboard and making some minor adjustments tomorrow for £60....
    Savings remain (almost) in tact!!!!!!!!!!!!!
