Saver88 - at least you have some savings that you can use to pay off the bill - you will soon be back with us good & proper - I don't believe this addiction is that easy to give up xx:rotfl:

Hello all newbies :hello: welcome to our SPC world!

Well I've saved money from what I budgeted for a friends birthday :T

Planned to spend £20 on a prezzie and £2 on a card and decided to join with another friend for the prezzie -asked her how much did she want to spend and she said £15 ea if that was ok with me:D

    Yes I'm happy with that:p

So a fiver into the holding pot :j and then went to M&S outlet for a card thought £2 would cover it - got a card for £1 reduced to 80p so another £1.20 straight into the pot :j:j:j

Happy happy today as I hate the frugalness of January :(

Also had a delivery of a £25 voucher for the supermarket from the festive shops we did before Xmas along with another £3 voucher :T so once spent will pot into the secret food pot monies saved;);)

So all in all a good day, despite the weather - which was infact not as bad as I thought it would be, up ere in Yorkshire, however I know others are having a very difficult time with all the water:eek: keep safe &warm fellow potters if it affects you I am thinking of you all.
Also those with colds and other horrid things not keeping you on top form keep warm too :grouphug: to you all

Well dragged myself back to co-0p as DH has bloomin man flu again so HAD to have lucozade ^^ am now up to 181 bog rolls . . . . :rotfl: also got 6 taco kits, 2 boxes of weetabix (with 50% extra in the boxes ;)) and 2 big bags of decaf tea bags :D so if we get invaded tomorrow, this family can hole up with the door barred for quite a few months :rotfl: :rotfl: even got a spare bag of sugar just in case as tea without sugar is ick!

£1.77 in change for the pot as well so all in all a very good day :D

jakes mum whats this about £5 0ff a £20 shop in coop??

supposedly its nationwide, if you go into co-0p, the tills are spitting out £5 off £20 spend vouchers for every shopper (though if you saunter through the self scan tills you might find a couple abandoned on the scales ;)) they are valid until 28th January, we dont know how long the tills will be printing them though, so what im doing is buying £20 worth of stuff, paying with voucher, getting a new voucher and doing a second £20 shop after ;) I currently have 2 more in my bag as DS did a reccy round the self scans tonight for me and pocketed me a second one :j :j

Could I join please! I started to try this last year on my own bur kept raiding the pot when I needed change.... This year hopefully some outside motivation and a better sealed pot will mean a nice little bonus of cash at the end of the year. I'm just gonna add loose change but hopefully it will all add up!

    Evening fellow potters!

Planned spend day today as car was out of petrol and need it for my commute.
Also had to get the pies in for people at work (where did that birthday tradition come from???). However cunningly used vouchers collected thanks to petrol at Moggysons, so kept spend under £10. On the positive side other peoples birthdays mean lunch provided, so more than evens out over the year
    Potted £2.06 change. :T

These smilies are nearly as addictive as the potting!! :D
Little steps and great strides both get you there.
