Handful of silver (I deliberately never count it as I like to pretend its way more than it possibly is) thrown into pot today. Good times

Have a lovely weekend all, I am out for lunch with my two offspring today so I am a happy bunny :)

You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1st post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.

I'm under budget this week for my weekly spend challenge :D Most of the change has been potted already, but now I'm adding a wonderful crisp £10 note to the pot :D

VERY well done, mooomin, you've got the idea perfectly!!

I have to agree with you, nanto3girls, some of the amounts are amazing, don't forget though ladies and gents, if you can only pot the smallest of amounts, you're still saving which is the important thing and what SPC is all about. So please be so proud whatever you save!!

Oh glassy, that's a huge help for me and LindyLou, thank you so much and that help has earned you a gold star. :staradmin

No Modesty, it wasn't you either, honestly! Those as did know they did and are being good now.

Also, just saw your note about changing numbers; do I need to do anything (I am quite attached to my number 2000 so would rather like to keep it!!)

Oh Lindylou, how when we have a membership list of 300 + do you think you get to keep No 2000?!!!! You don't know the power that No 104 has. Sorry Lindylou, but no can do. However, you can always think it's the same id it makes you happy.

2 days lunch money saved by taking packed lunch to work = £ 12.40 and rounding up change from purse and husbands pockets:D= £ 5.58 total in pot £ 17.98

That's just shocking, BrandNewStart, but wonderful!!! Well done and that's the way to save!

Never mind, Bambisbelle, let it go and be happy with your star.

Only 1p now, tokicat, but when you get 99p more tis a £1. As glassy points out - every little helps!

Excellent, ellie1788, now save all you can and you'll be so happy come November!!

I can't believe what a really great vibe we have going on with everyone's news and encouragement for each other. As someone who has not been a member long I feel very proud of what we are all achieving even if sometimes its a few pennies that are being saved or £££ because we have had more of a thrifty week than we'd originally planned it all pots just the same:j I get very excited at the thought of catching up with how everyone has been doing of an evening! Can't even remember what I did before:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ahh, bless you for your lovely words to me, Meowhouse, but above is a lovely few words that express what SPC does for it's members and that is worth the world. Thank YOU so much!

20p is still good potting, Gwengeth, be proud of it.

            Whooopee Tom, well done you!

It's lovely to read about your optimism, Mystikia, and well done on saving.

Excellent work, littleangels3! You'll have one very happy DD in March, a great month as it's mine & Caz's Birthdays too.

Lynne, you be sure to have a wonderful holiday, we'll be thinking of you. Bon voyage!

Thank you so much, AlwaysHappy, I LOVE doing it though as it's such a joy to see you all save!

-sparky, you have a fantastic time. Bon voyage and see you soon and love to J too.

Oh so sorry to hear that, mommyof4. Ah well, keep saving for it.....and I know you will.

Have a lovely Saturday, everyone, and keep saving where possible.

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :D Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

            Very many thanks indeed.

Absolutely, some may only save small amounts with loose change and it all helps on "pay day" - an added bonus.
At the top end, some amazing amounts have been saved and good to see also.

I've done a little shopping, just bits and bobs as this will be a "frugal month". I'm potting another £6 though (2 x £2 and 2 x £1 coins). That's it for today though.

Those going away for holidays and breaks, enjoy. Good time to get away it seems!!

Saved £6.35 using coupons in Tesco (best saving was utilising the Pampers 3 for 2 offer and using 3 pampers £1 off coupons) So this is being popped into the pot.

That is an excellent saving - I think what ever I used in vouchers I will pot the cash as its money I would not have normally had!

Spent the grotty morning finding a suitable pot for the challenge. Wanted one where I can't see the cash, so jars no good. Eventually found an 80s vintage margarine tub which had been pressed into service holding old TV and video connector cables. Perfect! The cables got relocated to a drawer of electrical bits and pieces, a hole got cut in the lid and ta-dah!
Trying for a no spend weekend, so cleared loose change from the car to pot a grand total of....

            £11.18

A pain-free start, but I know the real challenge will be to keep it going once the novelty wears off.

Great to have the support on here. :)
Little steps and great strides both get you there.
