Not aiming to go out today - weather is terrible. Again!!!!
Hoping OH will and might give me some change. Can't believe I go back to work Monday first time I have ever had all of Christmas and New Year off and I think I will struggle with work for the first few days!
Does everyone have see through pots like me or do people have pots where they can't see how much money they have?
Hi samtoby, I don't have a see through pot.Mine is a sealed Flora tub,with a slit in the top.0 -
Welcome all newbies to the fold - this is a great welcoming bunch of potters x
Well some loose change for me today & a few odd pence change from a KFC as a treat as its was my Dads birthday and wanted to spend the time with him rather than cooking after work x
I have a open with a tin opener pot with a piccy of a couple of kittens on ... a bit twee but my Mum calls me the crazy cat lady! (I have 3 meows) I'm glad I can't see in it as that would drive me insane and would definitely not make it to the grand opening day:T
I can't believe what a really great vibe we have going on with everyone's news and encouragement for each other. As someone who has not been a member long I feel very proud of what we are all achieving even if sometimes its a few pennies that are being saved or £££ because we have had more of a thrifty week than we'd originally planned it all pots just the same:j
I get very excited at the thought of catching up with how everyone has been doing of an evening! Can't even remember what I did before:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Finally for today....BIG THANKS to you Sue-UU I can't believe how much time you must spend on this thread ensuring that everyone is made to feel special & welcome with your little individual notes of love and encouragement - you most certainly are the glue that holds it altogether xx I'm sure others have said it to you before (many times) but thankyou &long may you reign. Our biggest and brightest star :kisses:I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0 -

Morning all and welcome to more new potters - good luck to you all.Just a simple cardboard whisky carton, Lynsey, yet it holds ALL that savings!!
It sure does and very surprising ............................ in a nice sort of way.
Though I only save the higher value coins and not too sure how much could be saved with 1p's and 2p's etc.
Hope not too many are affected with the adverse weather conditions - take care all. It's very scary in places!!
I potted £4.40 (4 x £1 and 2 x 20p coins).
Have a great weekend.

Good morning everyone
£21 deposited into the sealed pot today to cover the 7 nights we're away for. Looks like my DW is getting her wish for snow in New York they're expecting 10" of the stuff. The excitement is building in sparky towers, off to the airport early hours Sunday morning.
