Welcome! You'll need to read the first post, if you haven't already.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Potted £1.70 - just the non-shrapnel (which goes in my other jar) remainders from the household pot & my own purse this week, as DH and DS are on high alert that any loose change outside their designated change pots is fair game ... they'll get sloppy later, and then I'll swoop in ....

OH was careless and left out £1.05 on the side, so I took the money in for safe-keeping.
Well to all the lovely new members!:j0 -
Of course you can join us, CariadsNewStart, Gwengeth15 and stormbreaker. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Very well pointed out, sh1305!! :TPlease let me in again- Going to save really hard and not tell DH what I am doing as he is not a saver:(
Will also try and post more when well.
Hope to get £500 to spend on Christmas 2014.
Katiecat:)
Welcome back, Electricblue and katiecat! It's really lovely to see you home again. Please could you both take note of your numbers and make sure they go on your signatures? Don't forget, girls, the date for opening our pots in 2014 is 27th November!!
Glancing through the posts I see, everyone, has had a wonderful Christmas and really made the most of it. Hubby & I have had a fantastic time shared with all the family, just the way it should be. :j
LC 2 that's quite ok re the Little Chicken abbreviation. I'd far sooner you be happy.AlwaysHappy wrote: »This can't be right - I have caught the sealed tin bug!! Got up early, was at Marks and Spencer - to TAKE BACK!! at 8am!!Bought a couple of rolls of wrapping paper - and potted the remaining £8.80. I didn't even look around the shop (or any of the other sales). I decided last night I had everything I needed - not necessarily everything I want but that is completely different. Had a text later off a friend inviting me sales shopping - replied that I didn't need anything and she hasn't got back to me - I imagine she is in a state of shock - its not that many years ago I nearly exhausted myself between the Next and M&S sale, spent £800 in less than an hour (admittedly "quite" a lot went back....) Boy, it feels good!!
That made brilliant reading, AlwaysHappy!!!!Isn't it amazing how starting to save can transform us all...almost into misers! :j I'm delighted that this year looks as though you should be hanging onto a LOAD of money rather than giving it away which is almost what it amounts to, especially as sales! You're taking control which is splendid!
wrinkled_english_rose wrote: »Sue I have finally managed to change my no. I have to keep referring to the instructions you gave me years ago.
I have decided that my total for 2014 will be more than I managed last year, I hope that's okay.
WER
Ah bless your OH, sams!Mine is an absolute marvel and, due to health problems (mine), he does ours all the time. :A
If that's ok, WER? Of course it is! Did you mean you'd like me to alter your Target? If so, I'll do so gladly, you just say the word. I so well remember writing out the instructions all that time ago, it's good to know you hung onto them - and have managed to sort it out. Well done! It's wonderful to see you more often, keep up the great work.
Excellent saving, Kerry!!
Yours also, Suziebabe!
gottogo, why not jot your Username and password somewhere handy to remind you, just don't leave them around for others to see.
Silly hubby, Eyebright! Still, not to worry and whatever you do don't let him change his ways!! :rotfl:PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers now. You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!
Very many thanks indeed.Sue x
