    A very warm welcome
, TattyG and tracy6697. It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving, posting and joining in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1st post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Thank you for sorting your No out, fedupandskint.

A bit of good fortune, Maisie. :)

I was so sorry to hear your news, nu1isit?, you really could have done without that, especially having to still fork out for another 2 soon! Still, tyres are vital for our safety but I do wish you a little good fortune - maybe just around the corner - who knows. :)
I literally got up and walked out it wasnt until half an hour later that I remembered, and had to dash back (not an easy feat whilst battling with Christmas shoppers, a massive baby bump, and the rest of my bags swinging wildly from my arms :o ) Luckily for me however some kind shopper handed my shopping into the coffee shop, restoring my faith in humanity and the people of my town

Oh my gosh, you were so fortunate with that good Samaritan, Bambisbelle, so very lucky! :A You had a good day all in all, darn good savings too, great news. :D

Nellie, you've done marvellously since you started saving! Keep going strong and you'll achieve your goal. So sorry to hear you've been so ill, stay healthy now so you can enjoy Christmas. :) A merry Christmas for you too.

I got off to a good start this morning - oh had left £2.20 on his bedside cabinet unattended- silly thing!! Later I found 20p in my coat pocket and finally took son to a party at the bowling and allocated £5 for drinks. Only spent £3.30 so the change also went in the pot. I'm already getting to the point that its more satisfying to save....... not sure what is happening to me????

Those are wonderful words to read, AlwaysHappy, so often it's far easier not to worry and just spend. However, to actually push yourself to save...and then start to enjoy it is a joyful experience. So, I reckon you've been bitten by the saving bug! ;) Fantastic eh!

Yes, ruby_eskimo, you too have been virtually promoted. Thanks for putting your No on, but is it possible to put it in a different colour as it's hard to see? Thank you.

I am unsure where I was discourteous, ive certainly never been called that before.

jakes-mum, you know exactly what I mean. It started from the time I asked you to let me have your old No so I could see what your Target was on SPC 6 and put it on for you. Your reply came in the form of nastiness

<<"*Points down at sig while sniggering behind her hand* Target is written in my siggy for all to see :D:D:D">>

There was no need for that at all or for the following

<<"In my defence I thought it would be the first place you would look as I have had my targets on there since I joined :rotfl: (is it really terrible that I started to giggle uncontrollably at your angry face? :rotfl::rotfl:)">>

In over 6 years we have never bad feelings on this thread, and I do not want any now, not for you, me or the other members, especially at this time of year, so please let this drop now and kindly be as respectful to me as I am to you.

    Sue.

    Well done, frugaldances.

I know you had the AV, Modesty, sorry I thought you meant perhaps that wasn't working now. I think I'm with you now though.

I'm so pleased you had a lovely meal and good day, Observer, btw, more shocking weather forecast for Monday, it looks foul! :(

You did do well, 32b3! :j

It's not easy to save this time of year, glassy, but hopefully things will pick up for you after Christmas.

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers now as they're all done and simply need swapping over. You'll see that there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. forums.moneysavingexpert.comPlease change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.

    Have a great weekend, everyone.
    Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in. :grinheart

  • Works night out on friday had me running around my house like a mad woman chucking dresses, shoes and handbags everywhere. Result :j I found an old handbag with £13.97 in it. Now I must be honest and admit I nearly added it to my purse so I could have a few more drinks, but my potter head kicked in and I averted disaster:D. Yeah me:j

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all, hope all are well.

Welcome to new potters - good luck with your savings.

I need only one more present, a gift voucher from the garden centre today and that's it (presents wise). Definitely no more little "extras" or it can go on and on!!

Most of the Xmas food is in, just fresh stuff tomorrow/Tuesday. Well in control .............................. I think.
Last years "pottings" have more than covered the whole Xmas cost with plenty left over for the sales ............................. can't be bad.

    I potted £5.30 without the help of a £2 coin (4 x £1, 4 x 20p's and a 50p).
Some great savings going on - keep it up if you can.

Those posts were never written rudely or nastily, they were tongue in cheek naughty school girl, which is how you have introduced me on this thread for 3 years. Yes the image of you throwing your hands up in exasperation realising my target was on my sig made me smile. I will remove myself from the thread as to be honest I do not have the health to deal with this kind of thing. I come on here to speak to people, having very little contact with the real world, and for a few minutes pretend my life is normal.

Good luck with your potting ladies and gentlemen, I hope you save well.

    Hello everyone

Once again Sue, I am so sorry for declaring SPC 6 so late. I have been potting all year, albeit only little amounts, I have just been really unlucky with my health over the past 3 months. I spent some time in hospital and I couldn't get home to crack open my pot  _pale_ T'was the first thing I did on exit!

Anyway, I would be grateful if you would include me in the challenge again this year please Sue and Sparky. I can't guarantee I will manage a lot of posting as the thread runs so fast I can't keep up with it but rest assured that I will definitely be potting and I will do my absolute best to declare on time in November.

Please will everyone cross their fingers that I get a little bit of decent health next year? (I have been ill since 2002 :() I am crossing mine for everyone else

    Hugs, Gap xx

Ahhh its been all go in this household this last week or so, DS is being a right little . . . . . at school :( the way he's going, father Christmas wont be visiting him at all this year (which would be awful as DD is really in the *belief* era of her life and would be so heartbroken if we came down Christmas morning to no presents for him)
My mums car decided to dump all its oil on Saturday so shes now driving round in our little smart car while the garage try and fix it and we are all wondering if she will get it back this side of Christmas. She likes our old girl but she drives 40 miles each way everyday to work out in the sticks (proper tractor land) and in the current weather every lorry makes her feel like shes taking off!

On a more happier note, went to see DD's school nativity today, they were all so sweet, ok I couldn't hear half of what was said, and when DD had her 1 line she decided to talk to the back of the stage, but still it was magical and they all so obviously enjoyed it :D first one DH and I have seen with her as she was poorly last year so missed the performance . . . . btw, she was a sheppard :D

odd bits of scrapnel in the pot, no idea how much as haven't been counting!

    Hi Jakes -Mum

My GS4 was a shepherd too was allowed to hold the toy lamb which was jumped up and down side to side all through the performance :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
