Afternoon potters.£2 potted today. Made 3 dozen mince pies and 3 dozen rich coconut tarts this morning.Dinner over and done with.We have our dinner about 1.30, and just have a snack later.I detest cooking,so like to get dinner over with.Would rather bake than cook meals.Ah well, surveys and competitions are calling.
Have a good day all of you.
  • Good afternoon everyone! :santa2:
    Oh LittleSweetie
How could you! you know how good I am!!

Little GGS is naughty not a bit like me. It's our fault really cos we have spoilt him now it's pay back time. Really he is just like all two year old trouble!! but it is great seeing how much progress he has made.
    xx

Seriously, LC, it must be wonderful to see him so active as a poorly child is usually a quiet one. You all have a wonderful Christmas <<HUGS>>

PS please let us know which airport you see sparky at :rotfl:

I've had only a few coppers to pot over the last few days but all the gifts are bought & wrapped, food in the freezer or on order, LPG tank full (so no worries if the weather turns extra cold) and  just £13 left in the bank until January  All I need now is the fresh stuff like bread & salads which I can buy tomorrow (already budgeted for) Then I can just relax!
What wonderful news, nell, and perfect timing. No wonder the surgeon hugged you. Have a lovely Christmas x

I hope your knee is much better now, sue-uu, it must be murder when you can't get around because it's painful. You & T have a wonderful Christmas too xx

    Enjoy the sunshine x

PS a big WELCOME to all new potters :)

10p potted today. DH has a habit of leaving loose change on his bedside table. As it hasn't moved in 3 days, I saw it as fair game to pot 10p of it. :rotfl:

  • Hiya, today I was clearing the leaves from the garden & found a £5 note!!! :D Had to dry it on the radiator haha but that's gone in my pot! I've also potted 72p from loose change yesterday. Off to a good start really. I am hoping to draw my weekly budget out of the bank on a Monday and whatever I have left on Sunday I will pot too. :) I'm on the lookout for any loose change on the floor outside too :D I already have a 1p/2p/5p jar going!

In the meantime....I have fantastic news........saw the surgeon on Wednesday and the second lot of surgery showed that the cancer cells that were remaining from the tumour had been killed off. Woohoo.....best Christmas present ever. Even the surgeon gave me a hug!

Merry and peaceful Christmas to you all.

£1 in my pot today, yippee! This potting lark is addictive! :D

I'm so glad you're finding it that way, Eyebright, it's a huge help when we need to save. Keep up the wonderful work.

Well done, tracy6697, you're well on your way now. :D

Well at least you're honest, nanto3girls. Tell you what though, I could murder a Mince pie since reading about yours. I'm doing ours tomorrow with 3 helpers. :A:A:A A lovely mess afterwards....all so worth it though.

It's got a good way to go yet, little_sweetie, but at least the injection worked and stopped the pain that had been there. I've go to have physio after Christmas to build up the quads to help the knee. On the right tracks now. :j Whoops! Maybe best not to do that, yet. :D

Fair game indeed, VickyA, you were thinking of the dust accumulation ;)

I'm so chuffed you had such a good night out, nikki2002-2008, great savings afterwards too!!!! :j

Good saving, mildredalien, I hope the head was worth it or maybe you don't know. :)

What some luck with that £5er, Cauliflower!! Maybe it was blown in, though I don't expect you're bothered about how it got there. ;) Well done and your Target's on as requested, good luck on doing your best to achieve it. :)

Ah, it's just nice to encourage folk at the start of the challenges, AlwaysHappy, I don't keep it up all year round though, just reply to the ones I feel need it or where it's warranted for some reason. Well done for 'looking after' DH's cash. ;)

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers now. You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :Dforums.moneysavingexpert.comPlease change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.

    Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in. :grinheart
