I just wrote a letter to John Lewis asking them to explain why I had to spend an extra £81 buying my MacBook elsewhere after they cancelled my order. While I was at it, I emailed Sainsbury asking them to refund a meal I bought which was bland!

[*]Complete Roaccutane course- This is a Consultant only prescription medication for my long suffering acne face! I've recently started on it and it's side effects and hoops for which I have to jump through are quite unpleasant. It's a 6 month course and I'm 9 weeks in. Here's hoping it'll work after 7 years of unsuccessful treatments.

I feel your pain. I had cystic acne for years until I went dairy free... massive difference although my brother was given Roaccutane as he got the worse end of the deal.. good luck with this but I swear going dairy free helped him massively as well...
Would you consider it as well as the meds..?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Evening all,
Thank you Calling14,well done on paying off so much!
Splodge I am soexcited for starting The Skinny Rules! Looking forward to the 27th but need to get my head aroundall the rules, as I can only remember about 6 so far and don’t want to mess itup (although they are not rocket science!).
Well done Clippy, that is brilliant! How does it feel to only have one debt remaining?
I have had another spend day today as I went in hunt of gluten free food for Christmas dinner, and as expected I had to go to M&S (what a shame!!). I now have gf bigs in blankets, gf stuffing (pork, leek and bacon, yum!), gf gravy, gf lemon meringue pie and gf brownies
Also got one last, unexpected present, which I was hoping I didn't have to buy but they got us one. So, apart from the present I can only get on Monday, I am done
Hope you have all had a lovely Christmassy dayLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Evening all. Checking in with SFD number 7. I did actually buy something today - but used a £2 voucher from the C0-0p which has to be used by the end of the month - I have plenty of food so I bought 2 papers (a local one and a national one for the TV guide) and a 20p chocolate - and I got 5p change too!
I have had a very lazy day today and have thoroughly enjoyed it - I have been so busy the last month at the weekends I just wanted a rest - and I have certainly done that today.
I'm hoping for another SFD tomorrow too, but will check in again tomorrow with another update.
Night all!0 -

I'd be really interested to hear how you get on Fyggy.. I have horrible skin which is hereditary. I noticed a real difference when giving up caffeine, and I did go back on diannette contraceptive pill for the wedding as this improves my skin, but I am a month back off it again and waiting for the hormones to kick in and make things messy again. Did dairy free really work NSK ? I don't have much dairy at all, just cheese really, but I would give that up in the name of good skin. Bad skin is just so depressing. Good luck fyggy...
In other news - WE GOT A XMAS TREE TODAY! we have been holding off to get a nice real one at bargain bin price - £5 for a lovely real Norwegian spruce 5 footer! yeay! she's outside now in a bucket and tomorrow night we decorate her. When we find some lights that work. We have bought two sets so far and neither have worked. Both going back tomorrow. Most shops seem to have sold out... hmmm. I know we are cutting it fine, but its all in the name of MSE!
I am going with the theory that if I eat loads of rubbish in the next week or so then I will be really really ready to detox come January! To this end, I have eaten nothing but nonsense again today, sigh. I am stepping on the scales on 1 Jan. Come what mayLBM Aug 2013 - DEBTS AS OF THEN £25,150  now: £0 :j

NSK is leaving the building ( going to bed ) ... I have eaten WAY to much sugar today... might be needing that skinny book soon.....oops! I get the feeling everybody is having a freak out that Christmas is in a few days cause this place is QUIET!!!....
See you all just after noon which will be my average holiday wake up time...; -)“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Tiptoes it makes a MASSIVE difference... cheese is the curse of all bad skin I think. Google it otherwise I will be happy to find you some articles about it tomorrow.... But I dropped dianette and an anti-biotic I was on and caffeine / cheese / milk and yoghurt and eggs... Upped my spinach and green leafy veg intake in the form of a smoothie and most importantly 2 LITREs of water a day...
Now I just need to work on getting rid of the scarring .. but I gave up dairy for this reason first before animal welfare came into it... but I would try it for a month and see how you feel.. get off the pill too if you are only using it for your skin.. my skin issues are hormone related and I found the pill messes things up even more..
I'd rather eliminate the problem as opposed to trying to cover it up with fake drugs...
Clean up the diet - that's where the healing lies and yes like you said I happily gave it up as clear skin to me is much more important...

Thanks Kat, I will most definitely give it a go - I have (like most of us in this situation) tried everything else and spend hundreds of pounds over the years on 'miracle' creams that don't work. I am off the pill - like you I am sick of having my hormones messed about with, and am already good on the water intake - having swapped my beloved pints of tea for pints of hot water (this did make a noticeable difference, as did the 'cleanse' tea by Pukka Teas, but they are pricey)...
I am scared of the hard core drugs, and would love to have a clean and healthy diet that made me look clean and healthy as well as feel it! I know when I did a lot of yoga (too much to be sustainable on a long term basis) this also really helped. Who has two hours spare every day though really?!
I think this now my big goal for 2014 as well as pay off the debts! Get clean and clear from the inside out! thank you NSKfor the advice!! Night night all, and enjoy your lie in Kat!LBM Aug 2013 - DEBTS AS OF THEN £25,150  now: £0 :j

I got £100 from my folks out the blue which was an awesome surprise so banked that... Wages already sorted for next month and now got £300 in my annual expenses fund saved... upped my Direct Debit to £560 per month <gulp> which means i WILL be debt free by end of Oct on auto-pilot without doing anything... that's a great feeling...
Gonna try and save lump sums of £560 extra then I can knock a month or two off early...
