No I missed that bit, did watch the video. Pity they couldn't get a financial expert to put forward the case rather than someone trying to twist the facts

You can argue the facts were twisted all you want. Just because they don't suit your argument, it doesn't make those GERS figures invalid. Like was said... everyone has an opinion, but everyone can't have their own facts.

You might not get a up currency union with the uk.

Then again, we might. We'll see what the UK Govt. says.

Scotland won't be entitled to any part of the Bank of England after independence

There's the gold reserves too to be shared out.

You could always have the Scottish pound, not accepted in the uk but okay in scotland

You seem to be suggesting there that Scotland is already independent of the UK.

Why is it Scotland's notes are sometimes not accepted in England?
Seeing as Scots frequently already have to change their money when they travel to England, it might not be a bad idea at all to have a new Scottish currency from the start of independence - in reality it would make no practical difference to most Scots.

    Folks,

I really would give up trying to reason with Sharnad. He/she needs to change the username to can't/won't! Full of negative one liners, nothing to back it up, just stupid statements. Infuriating to try and have any kind of rational discussion with.

This is what we still appear to have in the bank account in paper money, don't try to spend it all as the spend thrifts and the politicians have already pledged a year or two of the country's total output against current spending.

Ah, you want facts from expert experts!
How about, then... Professor Sir James Mirrlees, Professor Joseph Stiglitz, Professor Frances Ruane, and Professor Andrew Hughes-Hallett?

    http://scotgoespop.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/the-anti-independence-campaign-are.html

Here are the aforementioned - some of the World's most-respected economists, and the reports they've produced thus far for the independent Fiscal Commission Working Group...
    Macroeconomic Framework
Stabilisation and Savings Funds For Scotland
Principles for a Modern and Efficient Tax System in an Independent Scotland
    Fiscal Rules and Fiscal Commissions

(as mentioned in the above article, reading even only the executive summaries of those four reports should provide insight enough).

It's no wonder that Better[sic]Together and their cronies in the media want to keep this information, and much more besides, completely hidden away.
