I didn't say they defo were dangerous so don't try to put those words in my mouth. What I said was there are conflicting reports.
You did a google search, post your finding and then come here saying i'm the one talking rubbish?
All i've stated is facts, deal with it.
I've yet to see a fact just an opinion! Unfortunately there is nothing more I can say or do. I'm not an expert/scientist so I've gone out and looked for an independent report. I have found this and posted it. People can now view this and make their own informed decisions. If you could post a link to an alternative independent report that supports your opinions that would be a great help to the forum and I look forward to reading it. But unless that happens I will no longer comment on this issue as I have ran out of things to say.
Hoping you have a pleasant day, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year:

You can interpret it how you like.
At least I dont try to put words in other peoples mouths or arrogantly just rubbish their posts without even specifying what exactly s being rubbished. I'm smart enough to know that I don't know everything.
Not sure why everyone always latches onto radiation, they are just one of the many reasons I disagree with smarts and are not near the top.
Last thing on EMF, it has not conclusively been found to be safe or harmful. I like to side with caution and would avoid something that is potentially harmful.0 -
Sorry, but you can't get away from EMF unless you sit in an earthed metal cage all day.
It's all around you, from the bloke next doors wifi & mobile phone etc (unless you live in a field), from all the TV, radio and cellphone transmitters, plus all the spurious stuff that comes out of your appliances when you use them (assuming that you have some, like a washing machine, vaccy cleaner and even a TV or computer)
Squeaking on about radiation just dilutes any other argument that you have as it demonstrates that you don't know what you are talking about.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Its all that Michael Faraday's fault, what a b@stard!:DThat gum you like is coming back in style.0

Where?
What qualifications do you have again? :rotfl:
That's me out for now, one shouldn't keep feeding the troll.0 -

I choose not to have wifi, cordless phone, microwave, mobile, loyalty cards etc.
Did you live in mud hut in the forest?0 -

Thank you for that helpful comment. They can cut my electricity anytime they want. They don't need a smart meter for that.
I couldn't care less if they want to use/sell my energy usage data.0 -
If British Gas are trying hard to persuade people to have a smart meter then ask yourself why are they doing that? It can't be for the customer's benefit if you judge them by their previous tactics to gain customers.
Also - THERE IS NO LEGAL STANDING TO FORCE YOU TO ACCEPT A SMART METER AT ALL, AT PRESENT, in spite of the suggestions by some energy companies and the beliefs of some energy customers.
Of course if HMG and the energy companies are really determined to make us have a smart meter then it will happen eventually but I can't help feeling that they're treating us like idiots. You can save energy by just going round the house and switching off anything that you don't need running.
For details on smart meters take a look at the website "Stop Smart Meters" for the anti meter brigade or the energy companies websites for the pro meter argument and then make your own mind up on the subject.0 -
I had British Gas smart meters installed about 6 months ago. Despite the adverts which make it look so easy I can not really say the initial installation was simple.
However now installed it does mean providing readings is a thing of the past. As of yet I don't think having smart meters has changed my energy usage habits but has made me aware of the 'energy hungry' devices in our house.

p.s I can not understand the "Stop Smart Meters" campaigns banding about the 'lethal' health effects Smart Meters have on us, surley the SIM card placed inside the Smart Meter hub is no different to the iPhone I carry around in my back pocket?0
