Well, it has been the best day of my life for roadkill - bar none, no contest: found 2 x £20 in the car park of the local Morri$ons while looking for £1s in the trolleys! Crumpled up with a receipt, partially tucked under a hedge, I saw purple and about put my back out with the speed I reached down for it. Absolutely danced back to work! It has been a rough few days and this has put one hell of a smile on my face! Not that it stopped me hitting A$da on the way home....additional 14p in change and at least £2.20 in wr.....and there will be more later! Thought I was doing well today,finding a £1 and 20p piece together.There was rows and rows of "sheds"(they did look like sheds you could buy at B+Q),making up a German market.Each shed was raised a couple of inches from the ground.I walked along the rows of them,far enough back to see underneath.Sure enough,found the coins.
Total for today,doing Christmas shopping,was £1.28:combined with the £5 I found last Thursday,I was feeling positively rich.But HOK3Y's £40 has put my back in my place :rotfl:.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

I'm still in shock to be fair! Should've seen hubby's face when I told him.....there was a total delayed reaction as the amount actually sunk in and then a huge smile followed by, "NO WAY!!!!"
I can't thank the Universe enough - Christmas has been brutal and I've been as frugal as possible!
SU that was really smart to back up and look under the cabins - barmy as it sounds, you do need to think like a coin and figure out where it would hide!! Well done......and I think I'll employ that method at our German market this evening!!

Great find HOK3Y, especially so close to Christmas!
No new finds for me since the 55p at the begining of December, but will not give it up! I put all roadkill finds into a small cupcake shape 'piggybank' and hope to open it next December- really hoping to find £15-£20 by then!

Well it was a profitable exercise going to pick up the kids from school this afternoon.On the short walk from car to school gates,found 20p.On the way back to the car,my son found a £1 coin!!
