Kyle,
The poor little fellow, it is bad enough when a child has to have a plaster but to have to have a second lot of surgery...will be thinking of you both to-morrow.
Forgot to say Mioliere in my previous post, how much I enjoyed your description of your wonderful holiday, including the lovely wedding...the Italians are something else, aren't they? Eveything is done wonderfully well and without anyone making an apparent effort. I would love to do a long driving meander in Europe, but OH won't drive on right side of road ( makes you wonder how he drove in America for ten years!!) and I couldn't listen to him on a long drive...could manage two or three hours a day, but would take forever to get further than France.

Kyle, sorry to hear LO has to have another op. Hope he perks up soon.0

Hello!
Well if this gets posted it will be short and sweet. i have a dial-up service of sorts:rotfl: Quite expensive, horrendously slow, no 'phone while I'm using it and not too reliable at staying connected!!! Good eh?
Have skimmed the thread. had to stop thanking, it takes too long waiting for it to register.
Tried to post last night, site chucked me off just as i was about to submit!
Kyle, best of luck for tomorrow. give lo a gentle hug from Auntie Churchmouse.
Mioliere, skimmed your post at about 200 mph!! Glad wedding went well, sounds so romantic. Forgotten all else.:o
Bye CMx
Just tried to catch up with the end of yesterday's thread and see my post made it! Wonders will never cease! You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Good Afternoon All
Its just starting to throw it down, bang goes my idea of getting any washing out.
dannahaz - normally the keys are hung up in a cupboard, well away from the doors/windows/out of sight. Luckily I only opened the loo window when I got home. Yes it is a thought about prospective burgulars! They got to get pass my dog first after being licked to death! lol - I must be switched on more!
kyle - hugs for little one! Bless him!
Had a text from my ex ref his dad, apparently exFIL is in a deep sleep and cant wake up, and he's losing circulation from feet, hands. And is quite cold! I remember it was only a matter of hours when my Nanna was like this before she passed away! But then again, he could be playing silly beggars and wake up for his tea soon!
How much seems reasonable these days for pocket money for a 11yr old? He wants to start earnig his own money, but I haven't a clue what the standard rate is, nor what kind of jobs he could do? I thought about making a list of house hold chores, and letting him choose from the list and pay so much per job. It probably wont last all that long anyway! BG - Feel free to move or edit this paragraph if its in-appropiate for this thread!
Grill-up for dinner later, trying to use, whats left in the fridge.
Catch you later

I wish someone would do something about this site timing out, I just typed a long message and bingo...............it disappeared.
MOILIERE: good to have you back, glad you enjoyed the wedding, and managed to get some work done on your house in France, I know the periphique around Caen of old, especially in the rush hour, its not a happy experience, especially with a caravan on the back!!!!!!!!!!!!
Up to the lottie again this morning, straws, lettuce chives and endive home for a salad tonight with macoroni cheese.........dug over the top part of three more beds, found myself thinking of our thwarted plans to go to France, I could have been digging in a french garden.........we were so disappointed when the last try fell through.............
The dresser is going to DD"'s on MOnday, I will be sad to see it go, it was one of the few things we had planned to take to France, I was going to strip it and distress it to fit into a french kitchen........however it was not to be.
I managed to disturb an ants nest, millions of eggs in it, guess they will not be hatching now.
(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to anyone who needs it and also those of you with poorly little ones.....been there done that and got several tee shirts............
Enjoy the rest of your day................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
thanks Tinkerbell - I am going to ask my other neighbours opposite when he gets in from work ( his next door neighbours as he lives directly opposite me ) if they know if he is away. My actual next door neighbours are away at the moment so it is a bit like a ghost town around here at the moment. The outside light is still on and his car is still on the drive and the bin is where I put it next to his house. Im probably being paranoid but you know when your mind starts doing overtime
Awwww ((((HUGS)))) to Kyle and little Lorenzo ( sorry but that has stuck ) I wonder if that is why he was having some pain. Bless him. I will be thinking of you tomorrow.
Well done on getting through the month Joannasmum - fingers crossed you will be back on an even footing soon. I must admit I used to be useless at submitting my expense claimsit built up to over £2k once and I was living off credit cards
pre MSE of course
Well I have just heard that I have a second interview for the job I went for on Tuseday - not till the second of July though  doesnt time fly when you desperately need a job.
The weather seems to be turning here - wind is getting up a bit and my shorts & T shirt were a bit optimistic to wear for today

Please can I join in the daily thread? I used to visit a while back but totally fell off the OS wagon. I desperately need to get back to my meal planning, storecupboard challenges and the like, not to mention help with my housework so I will be trying to pop over here more often if you will have me back.....:oSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Have had delicious wartime style lunch out (see wartime thread for details;) ) and think mil is popping round soon to seeher darling boy. She will think I'm mad when I tell her about the wartime experiment so I think I'll ' be like Dad and keep mum' http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.homesweethomefront.co.uk/images/jpeg/hshf_img_ct_window.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.homesweethomefront.co.uk/web_pages/hshf_img_ct9_enlargement.htm&h=400&w=243&sz=26&hl=en&start=4&tbnid=LItFUnDkHU4HcM:&tbnh=124&tbnw=75&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbe%2Blike%2Bdad%2Bkeep%2Bmum%26gbv%3D2%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DISO-8859-1%26sa%3DG0 -
Hi, just had a quick read of the thread so...
Hugs to those needing them and Happy Birthday to anyone celebrating today!
I've nearly finished my full week at work and I'm really looking forward to this time tomorrow! We had a staff collection/whip round and presented our Head with champagne and flowers at luchtime to celebrate her well deserved OBE. We even managed to find some red material and made her a little red carpet to walk on, plus we all bowed when she entered the room! :rotfl: So after a quick glass of wine we were all ready to go back into our classrooms!;)
Tonight is Brownies/Rainbows so we're having hm spag bol from the freezer.
Have a good evening.0
