Thursday 21 June 2007 Daily thread.

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 20th June 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Good morning everyone.

It's been merry chaos here and I've finally given up and called my mum yesterday to ask her if she could come and help. She's coming this morning and staying 2 days. The baby was in hospital with a nasty virus at the weekend, my asthma has been playing up (also because of a virus) and DH and DS1 have some kind of tummy bug. The house went to pot while I was in hospital and we're just trying to get back to some kind of normality.

On the upside, the baby is doing really well so the housework really is just a bonus!

Have a good day everyone. Good luck with the chicks Pen Pen. Congratulations, Hardup Hester on your good news. What a lovely way to find out there's going to be a new arrival!

Edit: I've totally lost my voice. LOL That should be a relief for DH!

Okay, to do list since mum will be babysitting all day:

[STRIKE]Scrub bathroom[/STRIKE] including the tile grout.
Make some[strike] biscuits[/strike], cake and crumble mix.
[strike]Make soup to freeze down for later in the week.[/strike]
Clean bedrooms.
Sort out baby clothes to take to charity. (Women's refuge?)
If I get my voice back later and I have time I want to look for a stair carpet. The stairs have been bare for about 2 years now!
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Morning. LOts of wind and rain. Sea is rough...fishing trip cancelled:mad:
    I hate the weather!
I guess I will go to work instead. No point staying home in the rain!

I hope it clears up eventually, I want to BBQ at the weekend.

I went out for a pub meal last night, not too bad, Carvery and pint with the missus. Nice to eat out for a change.

    Anyways, have a nice day....

    Good morning,

Gingham ((HUGS)) to you and your family, what a horrid few days, hope you are all feeling much better now xxx

Well, a morning off for me today, only one LO and she is at nursery this morning, so im going to make full use of this time and do nothing!!!! Have loads that i need to do, but i feel i really need a sit down with a cuppa and cake (thats my plan!!!) so i think thats what im going to do!!!!

Still have a horrible smell coming from my kitchen, have run one of those DW cleaners through it, doing a second one this morning in hope that is where the smell is coming from - im sure it is cos i had this prob a few years ago, but silly me hasnt learned and since ive had the new DW ive not given it a clean (ive also been washing everything on a 30 wash, so im sure thats not helped) so if this works, and im not sure what to do if it doesnt, im def going to make sure i clean it a bit more often, it is stinking!!!!

Right, better crack on before LO gets here,
    Have a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all!:j
Very bright here at the mo, hope it stays that way. It was really hot and sunny yesterday, got quite sunburnt!
DS went for his second college interview yesterday, and was offered a place, he's going to take this course as it's more up his street than the other he went for. Last GCSE today, then only the Prom to go!:T

Having a friend round for coffee, then going to try and hoover, this place is filthy!:rotfl:

Going to look at a wheelchair tonight, decided that enough is enough, walking too far just kills me now, so I'm admitting defeat:confused: Still, if it means I can get out more and further, I suppose it's a bonus!

    Have a good day all!:T

N9eav - sorry about the fisihing trip, the weather is ok here at the moment but we are meant to get rain - for the next few days too.

Woke up at 5.30 with a stonkin headache, have taken some pills and now its starting to go. Enjoying the peace & quiet got another 20 mins before DD gets up.

Plan today - ironing and paperwork, didnt get as much done yesterday as I would have liked so hope to be more productive today.

Good News - my new laptop arrived yesterday, tomorrow I take it the local repair shop and they will transfer everything over from my old one. They will then come round my house and set it up on the wireless network, DS is having this one he is so excited. Only worry I have is that my all in one printer works with windows vista - apparantly some hardware doesnt. Oh well fingers crossed.

No idea whats for dinner will have to route around the freezer later.

    Have a good day.

Yep 2 of you snuck in before me - morning

    Morning All

Feeling pretty low today. Didn't have a good night at all. Actually feel quite sick. I really want to go home

Nothing planned for today. Hoping to see bf, as we've not spent any time together since last Monday. But time will tell.

Need to look into booking my time away.

Off to do my archerfish clicks for the day - only 7p needed to pay out now

    Hope everyone's ok

N9eav, guess what, brilliant sunshine here today, you could always come up to Stoke and fish in the canal :rotfl:

Going over to the allotment later to do some weeding and maybe pick a few peas and strawberries, why do I feel as though I am stealing my own stuff

Hope everyone has a good day, and :grouphug: to anyone needing it x

    Hi everone.

    Dull, and drizzling here.

My youngest is 10 today. She's up nice and early lol. Her presents are in my 16yr olds bedroom though, and she isn't allowed in to get them till 7.30am lol. My eldest will be 29 tomorrow. My grandaughter, from America, who is with us at the mo. will be 3 on Monday, and it's my birthday on Tuesday :-) lots of birthdays. I've been good at getting childrens birthdays close together. My 12yr olds birthday is the same day as my 16yr old, and my 14yr old is the same day as my 21 yr old.

Forgot to take some sponge cake out of the freezer last night, but have now. As it's early, it should defrost in time for later, so I can make a birthday cake.

Have a Bible study to go to this morning.

Everyone have a blessed an prosperous day.

    Hugs all round.

    Good morning all!

This is a quick hello, as we have a very busy day today. Friends' daughter's wedding today, so am glad to see the blue sky & sunshine - hope it stays that way for the wedding!
Before that, DS has his piano lesson. Also he is working the sound system in the church so needs to be there a bit early.

Anyway, that should keep us busy for today.

Gotta go, washing to go out & my outfit to iron. Have at least unloaded D/w this morning so that's one job down.

    Have a good day!
