Good morning everybody :hello:
welcome back Mioliere - the wedding ( and your trip ) sounded absolutely lovely
((((HUGS)))) to Gingham, Fizzle, Lorenzo& Kyle, FBThree, Pooky and anybody else who wants or needs one ( sorry if I missed anybody )
Happy Birthday to the moggins LO's & Mr Thriftlady
You really made me laugh Pink - sorry - hope you were both alright
So far today I have taken my DD to school, taken the DDog out for a walk and put some washing on the line. Have spent far too much time on hereand really need to get out into the garden to do some more cutting back and planting. We have Bangers 'n' Mash on the menu for tonight and Im going to make some more banana and choc chip muffins
they were georgeous last time but didnt last 5 minutes.
Im a bit worried about one of my neighbours. He left his bin out since yesterday morning but his car is on the drive and his outside light was on this morning too ( I havent noticed his outside light on before ) Im not being nosey but it is just a bit weirdso I pulled his bin down his drive and had a little look but couldnt see anything - maybe he has gone off on holiday and forgot
DD is at dancing tonight till 6.45 and my Dad takes her today straight from school so I have the whole day to myselfmight go out for a bike ride with the DDog later if the weather stays nice.
Managed to do some ironing last night but need to do an hour a night for a few nights to get caught up.
Have a great day everybody :j:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
B-Rzl - I know how annoying that can be first thing in the morning. When I was still living at home, the neighbours lodger's room as next to mine, every morning at 5.30 his radio came on at full blast. I got so fed up with it, my dad, being the clever bloke he is, made a signal blocker - after a few trial and error runs we found out the station he was listening to and set the frequency accordingly - when the radio went off I just leant over and flicked the blocker on and all he got next door was top volume static noise which he soon turned off.......he got the hint after a few weeks - was quite amusing tho to switch it on and off just to annoy him.
Is there anyone in the building that he might have left a key with? Maybe they could go in and turn it off for you?
Just been offered a few days work next week from a new woman that's moved to the village - she makes curtains and blinds for an interior designer in London and has just had a large order in, I only happened to chat to her in the park a few weeks as she was sitting there doing some sewing watching her son, pleased I went and spoke to her now!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. <<Gingham>> Sounds like you're going through a tough time. I really admire you for getting your mum to babysit while you do the housework, I imagine many would have got mum to do the housework!
Thanks for the support everyone. Gingham and the Ribbons are doing just fine, shoobob a doowop.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Hi Pooky,
I doubt very much if anybody else in the building has a key, as he's lived there the shortest time out of any of us and I don't think he knows many people. I think if he'd left a key with anybody it would have been me - it was me that he approached a few weeks ago to borrow a key to the dustbin cupboard after losing both of his
Do you get the impression he might be a bit scattyOperation Get in Shape

Afternoon everyone
Welcome back Mioliere - glad you had a fab time
Happy Birthday Moggins Jr and Newster Jr and Mr Thrift[STRIKE]lady[/STRIKE]man
Another day at work, another dollar so they say.
Last night for tea we had cornbeef hash with a poached egg on top - haven't had that in years and it was deliciousTonight we will be having ranchero pie, and I must make an effort to iron everyone's clothes for the morning - I did last night and this morning was a breeze  Why do I never learn.
A few weeks ago I bought some rather expensive fur throws for the lounge, and I wanted some of those mongolian cushions as well - but at £20 a pop (and I need 4) I couldn't justify it. Anyhoo I got my new knitting magazines yesterday, and there was a pattern for these beautiful furry cushions - guess what I'm going to be up to for the next year:rotfl:
Need to make something to go in DD's lunchbox for tomorrow, probably chocolate brownies - a favourite of hers
Anyway better go - I'm not being paid to do this
(((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Afternoon all,
Hugs to all in need, memory is shot so am afraid to leave someone out is I name names...the same goes for those celebrating birthdays this week and next.
Have tidied and dusted living room in preparation for DD2 and DGD1...between them they will mess it up within 10 minutes of arrival and dd2 will remark on how my untidiness doesn't change!! I love her to bits but could strangle her sometimes as she says it as she sees it and as she is telling the truth can't understand why she should lie just to make someone else feel better...she has always been like that and even as a small child never liked anyone, she either loved them or hated them....ok for a toddler, but at 34!!!!
Breezy here to-day but no rain, although it rained during the night so no lawn cutting for OH to-day...had hoped he might have a go with the strimmer on orchard bit, but he seems inclined to leave that too.
Pork chops for dinner, as they are DD2's favourite...cabbage, carrots, broccoli and potatoes, probably just ice cream or yogurt for pudding, no great pudding eaters here, except for me and I don't need them!
Will probably spend rest of day chatting to DDs2&3 and to DGD1, so dinner will be only culinary effort and as for ironing>>>>
Hope that everybody has a good day

Afternoon all
not been able to get on recently - so I haven't read any threads. Will do as soon as I can get my home PC sorted (sneaking in from work at the mo)
Anyway - I posted a couple of weeks ago that I had a promotion interview and that I had messed it up. Well apparently I didn't mess up as badly as I had thought and I got the promotion woo hoo. Not a lot more money (if any), just harder work and more hassle!
take care all - off to catch up."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Afternoon Everyone
Mioliere what a lovely description of your hols, the wedding sounds perfect.
Happy Birthday Moggins Jr and Newster Jr and Mr Thriftman
Gingham hope everything calms down for you soon.
Well the month of hell is over and DH has been paid. We are still going to have to be carefull to get back on track but I've been to the shops this morning and stocked up the cupboards and the freezer.
Plans for the afternoon is ironing and cooking a Cottage pie or two for tea and the freezer. If I have time I may have abit of a craft session with DD probably some painting. Later on I need to fill in DD passport application so when I've got enough money in my paypal a/c I can send it off
Have a good afternoon everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
hello all
Well finally back from fracture clinic:eek: appointment was at 9.30 didnt come out til 11.45ish! got his plaster off and a lighter one put on, its bright orange, very snazzy:D
Then waited ages for it to be x-rayed then had to wait again to see the dr, this is where the bad news comes in! seems the pin/plate has moved and he has to go into theatre first thing tomorrow morning:eek: the dr said he has never seen this happen before, well arent we the lucky ones!
Dh cant get time off so looks like i have to go into theatre with him, not looking forward to that bit but i have to, poor man and he just got a lighter cast on today as well!
Seems it happened within the first few days when some of the swelling would have gone down and there was some movement in the cast.
Anyway thats my news:rolleyes:
happy birthday to all those celebrating:j :j
Hugs
