Pleased to report the door is sorted, looking and looking all shiny and new ! Mr PG decided not to bother going to bed yesterday and cracked on cracked on with the front door instead ! We are all safe and secure now !

We had a lovely day yesterday, work was very very quiet, so I managed to cut the grass and tidy the garden while he worked on the door, we also went and collected my Dads ashes from the funeral parlour. Not a job I had been relishing, but I also wasn't happy that he was still there sitting on a shelf :( . No decisions have been made as to what the next move is, if I had my way that would have all been sorted last year, but hey ho. For now he is with me and the girls at home and I feel much happier. I am pleased Mr PG came with me and he then took me for lunch in the sunshine which was lovely. We had dinner in the garden with the girls and then all watched a movie together in the evening (although Mr PG fell asleep half an hour in, no surprise there though really given he hadn't been to bed for a couple of days ! ) .

It felt like such a lovely , nice normal day. I wished we had more of those where we are all together.

Woke up this morning knowing he had two whole days off ! Whoopee !!! DD2 was desperate for him to watch her Riding Lesson, so he has taken her this morning giving me a Saturday morning to get on with a few chores for once. I usually do the horseriding, then the "visits" and then don't ever get home until at least 3pm on a Saturday to then start doing everything that should have been done in the morning. This way I can crack on which is fab.

DD2 has a party this afternoon so it will be a bit rushed between riding and partying and she has a friend being dropped over a little early for me to take her with us. DD1 is on revision, I am hoping to find time to sit and give her a hand . When Mr PG gets home he plans to fit the toilet and sink while I am at the party with DD2 and assuming all goes well we are going out this evening just the two of us ! :D We were supposed to be at a work BBQ , but we have bailed out of that one ! :o DD2 is staying overnight at one of our friends houses and DD1 has plans with her friends, so hopefully if it all goes to well today it will be another lovely day xx

I havent had a chance to catch up with diaries recently, so I hope you are all well, sorry :( xx

We managed our night out, just the two of us at a place I have wanted to go to for years and years. It was lovely.:D

Yesterday was hectic , the blind is up in DD's room and the sink back in the bathroom, but not that toilet. Mr PG ran out of time for that job, so it will sit int he spare room until his return ! :rotfl:

We did managed a BBQ together yesterday and walk by the river in the evening, but we were then up until 2am trying to tie up loose ends for work etc. Contact could be limited whle he is away so we were trying to sort as much as possible just incase we struggle to communicate !

He left at 6.30 this morning but still hasn't made it to the airport due to the dire Monday morning traffic. :(

The girls seem better than I hoped about him leaving. They are getting old now and are used to it really, but with DD's GCSEs and the fact that this is the first time he has gone away for a long period of time since we lost my dad I am a little worried how they will be, but they took it in their stride this morning and only time will tell. We have a few nice things planned to do together while he is away and hopefully time will fly for them. xx

  • It sounds as though you had a lovely weekend PG, I'm sure the girls will be fine, you are a great mum and the girls come across as being very mature, well love and feel secure by what you have said.
