I hope she manages to get everything done on time. Take it the other child is teacher's pet?! (grr). I hope you've booked time off in the summer to go on a break, sounds like your DD will need it as much as you and your DH  xxx
Dont think she is a teachers pet, I think shes a bit troublesome therefore it was easier for the teacher to bow down to he, whereas DD1 knuckles down quietly and gets on with it. Grrr !!
We are strugglign for anytime off this year at all. Mr PG goes away mid May, back early July for five days around DD1's Prom then leaves again and back mid august. There is a ten day gap before he goes away again and the end of August, so maybe if we can tackle this tax bill, these arrears etc we may manage a few days break int hat 10 day period. We do really all need it. We were hoping for a couple of days next week to visit family and spend sometime together, but due to all of the nonpayments its looking more unlikely by the day xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Ds1 has told me of similar kids in his new school, they seem to get everything they want, extra help, extra time etc etc whereas we didn't have a printer for a month during one of ds1s graphics modules and he got an awful report for it saying that he was lazy and hadn't tried to find any other way of doing it. Needless to say I called him out on that one, asking how he was lazy when every single other teacher had given him a 1 for effort and work and that he had asked friends, been to the library and asked other teachers to use the printers and was turned down by all  I was fuming! SO was he and wishes he hadn't taken that subject now. All his other subjects he's predicted an a or a b and that one with the awful teacher has predicted a D  what an idiot!!! Grr, he's lucky I couldn't make parent's evening and had to send DH to deliver my message :rotfl: by all accounts he sugar coated it but DS has suddenly jumped to a predicted c in less than a month
Sorry for the rant, schools get right on my nerves sometimes! xx

Wow, you've still got so much going on. I'm exhausted just reading about it.
Good on your daughter for sticking up for herself!
Tricky with the non-paying big customer. We had similar at my last job. Lots of excuses: "it's being processed, going through internal procedures, various discussions about discounts, and my favourite - 'oh, the person you did the work for (over a year ago by now) has left the organisation, so could you just cancel the invoice?' That would be a NO! We did the work! Cheeky beggers!0 -

Thankyou all, and Im sorry I didn't make it online to wish you all a Happy Easter, but I hope it was happy and everyone managed some relaxing time.:D
Things are hectic here, Easter was a bit of a non event, but Mr PG did manage a day off on the Bank Holiday Monday which was lovely. Other than that it was the girls and I and lots of stress and grief being thrown at me ( not from the girls I hasten to add, they were fab ) . Most of Easter was spent in tears hiding in the loo from the girls so they didnt see me whilst being told I'm not doing enough for the others around me, when I physically can do no more ! Hey Ho !!
I have had my birthday though whilst being AWOL , and we did escape for two whole days together and it was bliss. I turned my phone off, we needed Mr PGs for work, but I was left alone. Total Heaven ! Weather was beautiful, had a couple of lovely meals and a chance to catch up. Just wish we were able to do so more often, but the only way its possible is if we escape. If we are at home outside pressures dictate we host or visit or run aroudn like crazy idiots keeping certain people happy or entertained, it appears we are no longer allowed time to ourselves !
The countdown is now on for Mr PGs departure. I am dreading it. I should be used to it, after all he has been going away for periods of time for the last 17 years, but this time I feel sick at the thought. If I only had the girls and I to think of I would be fine, but once more its the outside pressures that are ramping up the stress.
God I sound like a miserable old bag !!!
I Have a really busy week, but will aim for a jollier, happier post at a later date !
Take Care everyone xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
