Woken this morning feeling much brighter, yesterday I felt completely bleurgh. I just wanted to hide in bed all day. I jollied myself along but didn't really achieve much. Was lovely once the girls came home, they perked me up loads.
So today I need to give myself a much loved kick up the backside and stop feeling sorry for myself. I have paid some money to the Predators and some more to THEM. Was hoping to pay THEM a little more but its birthdays month, both DDs and Mr PG and another 15 randomers as DD1 would say have birthdays, which even if some only involve cards and a bunch of flowers it still adds up. I am always glad to see the back of march as much as I love the girls birthdays, I find it all a bit stressful. I have absolutely nothing for Mr PG, so we need to get our thinking caps on.
Signatures updated, my figures were a bit out for some reason so they have been rectified this morning. I wish I could find a way to kick this into touch, we still have such a long way to go.
Have a few people after us for money ( as usual !) , namely the arrears on bank loan, we have changed utility supplier and now have a final bill which is truly huge, but they have been very good accommodating about paying it off so I'm not worrying too much about that for now. Will put that on the back burner. The accountants want paying as well. Will find something to give them to show willing but I don't have the entire £700 bill just now.
£250 compensation received from the Mortgage provider the other day and FOS have written confirming they are looking into fraudulent policy with Sw1nt0n, I have alot more letters to write regarding all of this but no time at the moment. they will also be put on the back burner for now.
DD2 feeling poorly, she has the horrible cold now but she is in school.
I treated myself to J2ck M0nr0£s cook book yesterday. Our food budget has been messed up for ages now, since last summer infact. I haven't been finding time to either do a big shop or an online order or a meal plan. Some of the problem is that my head has not been in the right place to think ahead on the food front as daft as that sounds. I need to kick it into touch as I have been spending a fortune and shopping each day for dinner is time consuming in itself. So I have bought the book in the hope it will rein in the budget and organise me a little without having to think too much myself of a meal plan. If anyone has the book or tried any of the recipes from the blog and can recommend anything yummy plse let me know !! Thankfully the girls aren't fussy so I am hoping it will be quite easy and also save me some money !
Right that's my update for the morning, must get to work, inbox filling up fast, thankfully its looks like its offers for work. That makes Mrs PG one happy girl !!
Have a lovely day xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Morning
I hope DD2 is feeling better soon there are tonnes of horrid bugs around again! Hope you too are feeling a bit better, i've had that bleurgh feeling too and it's not great!
Regarding the meal plans, I wrote one religiously for the first 3 months of the first school term (Sept-Dec) and this year have totally not botheredBUT I did save the ones I did before to a spreadsheet and this month have just printed off one of the ones I liked the look of and then shopped around that
so perhaps whilst you are feeling in the mood for new recipes with JM's new book write up a quick meal plan on a spreadsheet/word doc and save it for another month when you won't have time/inclination to do one
My Sept-Dec ones will do for me for winter months (full of stews and shepherd's pies lol) and I will write another few for spring/summer meals
Keep on truckingxx

........all be it not one that will save us money, but for now I will relish in the thought of it !
A few weeks ago I posted that THEY had written to say we had broken our agreement etc etc. I wrote a bit of a humdinger letter back to them to tell them that we hadn't broken the agreement at all , listed all of the payments and basically asked them to get off of our case. They have replied today to admit that they were in the wrong. Basically our agreement for a minimum of £500 per month had been entered incorrectly in their system. The letter we received was an automated letter ( another one !) as it was expecting a lump sum payment of a total of £500 per month. It wasn't set up to recognise the various smaller payment all infact totally more than the £500 over the course of one month, therefore it decided that we hadn't been paying. It has apparently now been recitified to say that we will be paying as and when during each calender month.
Gave me a small bit of satisfaction at least, but they didn't say sorry !!! That really would be expecting too much !! :rotfl: xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Well at least it's an acknowledgement that right is on your side
I also got jacks cookbook this week. I think it has great potential. The other one, (which I could post you to borrow if you like) is the JO saving ( forget it's precise name) one. I think that's got some good cheap recipes as well. The roast chicken and risotto certainly went down well here.
Apart from stretching chicken (!) we are also trying much more veggie stuff. That cuts down the cost, especially if you go seasonal too. We get veggies and stuff eg. Milk delivered straight from the farm too. Saves precious time ( unless you like strolling the SM aisles) and there is no middleman...
Have fun and hope DD2 feels better soon xMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

We have another crisis. Cant go into too many details but it involves cars hitting houses and lounge windows and front walls collapsing !
Needless to say who got the call for rescue duties ?!! No injuries but one hell of a mess I can tell you. All necessary calls made to car and building insurance people. All work meetings cancelled for the week as I need to be there, not elsewhere , to deal with everything.
Here was I hoping that 2014 would be our year !!! How wrong was I ?! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
