    Hello Mrs PG

I've been a lurker on your thread for ages and I was delighted when you came back and starting posting again. And now that you have a shiny new dairy, I thought it would be a good time to say hi!

PS I also have avid dreams. 2 this week, one involving being on the top floor of M&S and me and DD3 having to run for our lives when it starts to crumble and fall down. And last night, me, DD3 and the cat, lost in the dark walking along a railway track dodging the trains that keep passing.

Please keep posting, I love your diary.

    Hi rubyjam,

How lovely to see you. Your name looks familiar I think I may have seen you popping up in places before now.Once you come out of lurkdom the golden rule is never to hide again. Keep posting ! :D

Your dreams sound pretty scary as well.

Maybe you should try and listen to DFW's Singing bowls as well, whatever they may be ! xxx

  • Hiya Mrs PG,

Like the Pied Piper, you will have a myriad of followers, all here to encourage, congratulate and cheer you on. You have done an amazing job in the last 2 years, as have Mr PG and your two lovely girls.

Looking forward to seeing you beat the debt over the head with a big stick! Also looking forward to further adventures of the Pinot household, with or without mankinis, squirrels, birds....

    Sending you lots of hugs.

Applemuncher, I had completely forgotten about the squirrels ! Not the birds or the mankinis though I hasten to add, I am faced with the mankinis every time Mr PG has a day off, and I am sure a new one will find its way onto his Christmas list !

Its funny how many things I have forgotten. One day when I am old and grey I will sit in my rocking chair and read these diaries back. Perhaps I will have them printed off , bound and popped under the Christmas Tree one year for all of my family and friends to finally uncover our guilty secret :D

Great to see you Applemuncher xx

  • Having calmed down from last nights dream and feeling totally exhausted and looking like a bag lady, Monday morning did not start too well.

Mr PG and I were alerted to DD1's screams of Heeelllppp coming from the shower at around 7.30am ! He rushed up the stairs, I ran across the landing, DD2 was oblivious to the yells as she was singing along to Radio 1 in her bedroom . Thankfully I reached the bathroom first as poor DD1 was to be found huddled in the corner of the shower with the whole shower attachment fallen off of the wall and on top of her !! I shouldn't of laughed but I am ashamed to say I did :rotfl::o. After removing the shower and wrapping her in a towel to protect her modesty before Mr PG appeared, we surveyed the damage. DD1 was fine and found the whole thing hilarious, but the shower most definitely is not. It appears that the plasterboard wall used when the showers were installed was not waterproof, therefore over the years water has somehow managed to get up and in between the grout of the tiles, rotting the board underneath. The smell of rotting wood isn't pleasant the plasterboard has completely crumbled and when the shower came away so did a whole load of the tiles. Its a complete mess.

Looks like yet another job to add to the list. The shower will have to sit unusable until such time as we can cost it up and make repair. We are lucky enough to have another to use in the meantime. So for now I have just shut the door on it and will turn a blind eye.

After a cup of tea to recover, DD1 got herself ready for school, I curled hers and DD2s hair and off they went to school for their first Performance of the School show which is to all of the local Primarys in the area……after all, The Show Must Go On !!! xx
