Mrs PG's Hopes & Dreams for a debt free future !

Thankyou so much everyone !
Where have the months gone ? I am so sorry I haven't been around or in touch . I really do hope that you all had a lovely Christmas, lovely New Year and you are well and happy !
Sincerely hope 2015 brings good things for us all !!
All is pretty good ( with the usual exceptions ) in the PG household , but as hectic and crazy as ever. Still attempting the debt busting, just gone a bit wrong with the loss of some work for January (not what we needed immediately after Christmas ) , currently scrabbling around to pick up some bits and pieces to tide us over until all sorted, but it will get sorted.
We are still smiling, I still have a fuzzy head, the girls are fab , Family problems still driving me doolally, Mr PG who has been working away pretty much continuously since April made it home on Xmas Eve and is still here !! Thats a novelty in itself !!
I am determined that this will be a good year and the PG Family will have many adventures ( on a shoestring ) in store for us !!
Sending love and hugs to everyone and I will get back on here asap. xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I have missed you all so much !! Who would have thought it ?!! :rotfl:
After posting yesterday I have been itching to find the time to get back on here. Just had a sneaky peek and read your posts, thankyou ! I am busting to find hours and hours of free time and catch up with everyone's news, but I fear I will never actually manage it.
If anyone fancies posting me a snippet , something along the lines of -
Granny - " Feeling loads better, DGD's are amazing, F&F's all accepted " that would be lovely, then I will know how you all are doing ? Is that being a bit cheeky to ask ?!
I am now going to post some debt busting news - nothing particularly exciting but will post anyway -
We put in a claim to an airline back in July last year when Mr PGs flight home was cancelled. We received £477 in compensation just before Christmas !
We complained to a Car Insurance Company after they failed to deal with paperwork correctly after Mr PG had a car accident in March last year . They have sent us £100 in compensation , although I have told them its not enough and told them to re look at it.
I had a £10 delivery charge refunded recently after the order didn't arrive when it should of, so I complained.;)
The FOS have agreed to take another look at our Bank Charges Claim after initially refusing to do so. Wont be holding my breath on that one though !
We have nearly cleared £50K of our initial debt ! :T:T and all our arrears built up after I lost my Dad have been paid off and we are back on track .
THE VAT Man refunded us £16.72, so I gave it to THEM !
I have just made another complaint as a delivery that should have arrived yesterday didn't, and hasn't arrived today either. Their excuse is that they had an incorrect address, the address they had is the same as the address we live at, it isnt hard to find and I was indoors working all day. Something tells me the driver fancied going home early yesterday !
Mr PG is worrying that I am becoming a professional complainer !:rotfl:
In other not so fab Debtbusting news, two debts which appeared to be unenforceable have reared their ugly heads, having been taken over by another DCA. The phone calls to home and mobiles have begun again in earnest. Am considering how to play this one right now. No contact is preferable but becoming increasingly difficult not to answer the mobiles as they are our work phones and as they call from a variety of numbers fielding the calls are difficult. If I write and complain of harassment and ask them not to call I am starting up contact again of which we have had none for a couple of years now. Will sleep on this one for another few days. I think.
THEY are still on our case, in all honesty so they should be. We still haven't cleared the outstanding tax ( despite our best efforts) and the new bill became due in November. THEY are now writing and calling. I have just done some figures and I do have the money in the bank to pay the previous year off, but that money is allocated to the next VAT return. This is due in March. If I use it to pay THEM off, THEY will be happy but unless I can then claw this money back by March we risk then upsetting the VAT Man !! We don't think THEY will even entertain entering into another agreement with us with the previous year outstanding so am thinking we don't have much choice but to use the VAT money to pay the Tax. Had the work which disappeared come off for January, the TAX would have been paid and we would be beginning to battle the new bill and the VAT money would not need to be touched,. But that's not to be and although we have picked up some odd work its not enough to cover all of this. Once more, I think I will give myself another night to sleep on it and tackle it head on tomorrow .
But ........trying to stay upbeat and positive, we have picked up a few days work for this week and some for next week and we have had the nod that the contract should begin again very shortly, possibly even by the end of next week. If this happens we should begin once more to get back on track again, but I wont be counting my chickens just yet. In the meantime Mr PG is being presented with a huge jobs list each morning, some going back for years. Loads of things are getting done which is a miracle.
Mr PG did escape today for a run today though, so he is getting some rest !
Hope you have all had a good Wednesday so far xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hi Mrs PG
So glad you are backWhen does the peaceful bit of life start? When do we all relax and sip wine from that glass in your avatar with nothing to rush about for and nothing to worry about?
Can someone tell us when that part of life starts? I suppose the government has put it back a few years......just like the state pension age!

Well done on the complaints, I don't care if you make a habit of it, if it's bringing financial reward that's good enough for me.
Re debt collectors, answer the call, refuse to answer any security questions, tell them to put their query in writing. By not answering their security questions, they cannot give out any financial information and therefore you are not admitting to owing the money. If/when they write you can deal with it then in a much pleasanter way.
Granny update - some F&Fs accepted but half not. Now paying £1pm to 5 predators, hardly breaking the bank so although my DFD is now beyond my lifetime, I'm finding it so much easier to deal with.
Off to Oz for 11wks on my own to see DD in 6 wks time. Have lost 3 stone in flab fight, many more to go but going in the right direction. DD doesn't know about weight loss, looking forward to seeing her beautiful surprised face.
Next operation is likely to be done in May/June and looking very much like I won't need the third. Feeling really positive about that. Not looking to go back to work, or look for a job as I don't currently have one, until next autumn/winter. oH being very supportive about that.
DGC are all fantastic. Girlies spend most of their time with me reminding me how much they love me. Little man has warmed to both O.h & I over the festivities and is as delightful and delicious as his sisters.
Life is good in general.
There, no need to read my rambles now

Now wouldn't that be nice Brogden. Sipping that wine without a care in the world ! I do wonder though if I would get bored, although I would like the chance to find out !!
I also wonder when that part of life begins, maybe some clever soul reading this can shed some light on it ?! :rotfl:
