A nightmare for your DD Mrs PG. I feel the worry and it could so easily have happened here - we have had soooooo many things like that. I hope you find the remedy xx
  • Hey good to see you Maddie May and thankyou to the rest of you for you concern !

With an enormous amount of relief, I am pleased to tell you that the majority of the work has been recovered. The so called Tech Bods were useless and didn't have a clue.

The Fairy Godmother actually arrived in the form of Mr PG ! :rotfl:

He appeared in a puff of smoke just when we needed him the most as it was a tad stressful in the PG household I can assure you ! He finished a meeting 2 and a half hours away and instead of jumping in the car for the 5 hour drive up to Liverpool that he should have been doing, he drove back home. After a few expletives and lots of steam coming out of his ears , he downloaded something (no idea what :o ) at a cost of about £80  and we now have about 85% of the work back ! All I can say is its £80 we would rather have not spent but well worth it in the grand scheme of things. The work included a recently written essay which took her 5 hours, 15 photo Montages and her entire coursework for Graphic Design and goodness knows what else. Considering she works until 11pm each night and all day Sat and Sunday at the weekends I dread to think how many hours catch up time that would have amounted to.

But, its pretty much all sorted, Mr PG saved the day then left on his merry way, where he got stuck in a shed load of traffic around BHX and his five hour journey became 8 !! Thankfully, as Mr PG said "Shes worth it !"

I am banking on some good grades from her after this !

Well done Mr PG! :T It must be a huge relief for your DD to get all of that work back again. When I was studying, if I'd lost just one essay I'd spent 5 hours on I would have been devastated but it sounds like it was a lot more. Lots of backing up from now on me thinks! :)

Phew!, that is great news, she now owes her darling Daddy a shed load of extra hugs:D

I guess the new mantra in the PG household (and anywhere with a teenager/person studying) is back it up at least once, preferably in two places:eek:

I am going to record the new "Back It Up " Mantra into a little rap song for her , put her to bed with her headphones on and play it over and over again to her in her sleep in the hope it sticks !! :rotfl:

Think she will be paying Daddy back with hugs for the forseeable future !

  • Quick money update for today is -

£10 paid to THEM ( doesnt make much of dent, but its better than nowt !)

71p in TT's paid to the Loan !! Think they will get mighty fed up with me paying them such random amounts shortly :o

Letter to FOS written re the bank charges and the delay in contacting them. Will wait with baited breath as to whether they will agree to investigate or not xx

I am off now in search of Cooking Apples, apparently DD2 needs them for cookery tomorrow and she has reliably informed me that the local supermarket do not have any. Looks like I am off out on a wild goose chase around the farm shops in the hope of finding some . It sure beats number punching that's for sure xx
