I would love to thank Brenny for taking the time to come and talk to me, come and take my photographs and for being so lovely!!
She not only took some of the most amazing photos that we have ever seen, particularly of some people who have always been difficult to get on camera!
We couldnt have asked for better photographs of our wedding day, not only are they exactly in the style that we wanted, but we have had nothing but great comments about the photos and Brenny herself.
Thank you Brenny without you the day wouldnt have been the same, and we love our photographs, you have made a skint couple so amazingly happy!
Thank you once again..
I will be recommending you to anyone else and everyone else..
Ooh can we see some of the pics?

Brenny you are more than welcome to take photos at our wedding, which is planned for February 2008 at the Hickstead Hotel, Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Just give us a shout and we will give you the full details.

To be cheeky and crash Brennys party, on the off chance that she is busy and cant make peoples dates my girlfriend and i are also keen in terms of building a wedding photography portfolio - we'd like to do this for a side line longer term.
Weve taken one wedding so far for my cousin and enjoyed that one so much that we want to do more! It is a challenge to do for the first time and certainly makes you think on your feet a bit but we got some good shots and the bride and groom are more than happy!
I was sceptical about doing it at first as i didnt want to risk ruining their big day, but as i was only asked the evening before(!) I figured that the risk was pretty low in terms of their other options being just getting all the photos from everyone else who turned up!
I think what people say about amateur versus professional is probably true - its all about minimising risk really, the pros have more experience (learnt from their mistakes!) and also know what has worked for them, they have a creative style to their compositions and should have the right equipment to help them minimise risk of problems and of course they know to take enough variety of shots to ensure that they get some good results. Having said that they charge you for that experience and in terms of risk its (hopefully) only the risk with the amateur that one or two of the shots dont come out as well as you would like or that some of the shots arent as incredibly good as the pro's.
For people who've been asked to take shots id say that you have to know what you are doing technically with the camera and dont underestimate the pressure thats involved and the pace that things happen at. Ive a lot of photography experience but the pace definitely surprised me! Also having good kit helps a lot and take a lot of shots (we took 500 plus)
Its a case of getting what you pay for - you will reduce your risk with a pro but will also reduce your wallet and weddings are pretty expensive as it is!
So, pm me if you want a photographer and Brenny is busy! I can show you what we did last time and you can decide if its what you want?0 -
I have pm'd you

well for some reason I cant view page 1 but i think everyone has to start somewhere, what I would say though is always get some sort of portfolio proof that the person can take pictures that have people in them at least somewhere.
Every TOG including amatuers build a portfolio of images and if they are good then its most likely that your wedding pics will be fine as well.
Its about giving people a chance, something this country seems to be forgetting lately.

Think they are working towards trying to restore the older pages. But, following on from last poster, thanks again to Joni and Michael and Suzi and Marc for giving me a chance.0

Brenny if you're free in May then Mr Tine and I are getting married... We weren't going to have a photographer but get relatives to take the pictures, however if you are still looking for weddings to photograph then let me know
We'd be delighted to have you
