I'm looking for a wedding to photograph (for free!)

I found some amateur photographers who want hundreds of £ even though they have never photographed a wedding before, and not for travel fees/expenses either.
I did book a professional photographer, when he eventually bothered to turn up (and came out with 6 different excuses as to why he was so late), he took awful photos. I wish i had the chance of an eager amateur to take the photos, imho an amateur would never have behaved in the way the pro did.
And not everyone who gets married are rolling in money and would jump at the chance of getting someone to take photos for them.:j0 -
Hi,
We are due to get married on 20th October in Redhill. Love to discuss your offer with you if you are still looking for someone (and its not too far away to be useful to you?) pm me.
cheers:beer:0 -
I had my wedding photographed by an amateur
Pro's
Cheap (Travel + board)
We got to keep all the digital files (this is the biggy for me)
Chap was V keen to get experience
Cons
Potential risk
Had to make my own album (not an issue as I love digital photography, so spent ages getting it perfect for me)
Inexperience showed itself in not a particularly fair coverage of all people there (could have done with more of person X or Y...)
Overall
My Sister-in law got married a year later, paid £1600 and most agreed our shots came out heads above the pro.
Good luck OP0 -
you're all wrong

I would love to thank Brenny for taking the time to come and talk to me, come and take my photographs and for being so lovely!!
She not only took some of the most amazing photos that we have ever seen, particularly of some people who have always been difficult to get on camera!
We couldnt have asked for better photographs of our wedding day, not only are they exactly in the style that we wanted, but we have had nothing but great comments about the photos and Brenny herself.
Thank you Brenny without you the day wouldnt have been the same, and we love our photographs, you have made a skint couple so amazingly happy!
Thank you once again..
I will be recommending you to anyone else and everyone else..0 -
