Mine's a £10 veg box and a £5 fruit box - plus extra £1 for the herbs, extra £1.85 for the bread (huge loaf!) - so £15 a week plus the optional extra bits - pretty good I think as it lasts me the whole week just about (Tuesdays can be a bit lean!)
They also do a veg bag for £5 with all the basics and a few extras, so you could get a veg bag and a fruit bag for £10 a week total (all orders over £10 are free delivery). [ http://www.eastcoastorganics.co.uk/ ]"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Competitionscafe,
you win for the best box in the country I reckon - WOW!!!! (and I'm always very happy with mine).
Your purple beans, cook them just like green ones, and they'll end up green when they're cooked. I did purple, green and yellow ones together last week, and we hadn't realised...when they were cooked they were all either green or yellow! The purple ones were a different shape, so we could identify them, and they were SCRUMMY!!!!!!!!0 -

Yes, it's a great box - only criticism I would have is that sometimes things are very ripe, eg: the avocado had to be eaten last night as it would not really have lasted beyond the day it was delivered, same with the pears last week. (Probably better that than rock hard supermarket ones that take forever to ripen or never ripen properly because they were picked too soon).
Will be eating my purple beans tonight."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Got my box this morning as I was still getting ready. I had a bit of a chat with the driver and he told me he delivers quite a lot in this area - at least two others in my village, and that's the Abel and Cole nationwide boxes! I'm very surprised it's so widespread.
Anyway, today I got:
Discovery apples - these are lovely - they taste like they have cinnamon in the flesh.
Bananas
Pears
Leeks
Potatoes
Spinach
Courgettes
Savoy Cabbage (looking forward to this!)
Carrots
Lettuce (not sure what type - it has crinkly-edged green leaves)Sealed Pot Challenge 5 - #1742 :j0 -
Got my box this evening
Potatoes
Carrots
Onions
These are the staples each week
Broad beans (might try the mediterranean recipe as suggested on THIS THREAD )
2 cauliflowers
1/2 doz eggs
Going to make cauliflower cheese with these, haven't had it in ages, YUM!0 -

Yum I agree - I am going to do the same with mine, but I thought for a change instead of using Cheddar I would try a different cheese - bought some Gruyere today to try instead of Cheddar. By the way a bit of english mustard in the cheese sauce is very good, also 'munchy seeds' (sold at Lakeland) are yummy too - sprinkle on top just before serving. Gives a nice texture contrast with a tasty crunchy topping."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Try typing your post code into the search box at big barn:
http://www.bigbarn.co.uk/
Or Soil Association site:

Also some listed here:

and more here:

Or one of these? (Both are in Kent, but I'm not sure where in Kent you live)
