I think u mean aggravated trespass? Which is an offence. Look it up.

I meant s4, I admitted my mistake. I'm happy to admit that, these things can happen. As I have also said the law is a joke, anything can cause alarm or distress.

As for warrant cards, it says they should produce this on request http://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/foi/Information%20Classes/Policies/item14360.pdf

I don't need to update my knowledge thanks for your concern, u can choose to do as you wish. I'm just exercising my rights to protect my freedom. If I have broken no law I have nothing to fear by 'being difficult'.

    Force policy or law?

Stop and search: officer identifying themselves : https://www.gov.uk/police-powers-to-stop-and-search-your-rights

Will have to find the section regarding the opening if car door

I said that was for stop and search. Show us were a uniformed officer must show a warrant card when they stop a car.

Do u think the officer will refuse? If he does so be it, u still have everything on camera. I'm not going to argue over such a minor point. Most forces, if not all, tell their officers to show it on request.

    Really?

    More carp you've made up?

No I definitely mean criminal trespass, that you swore existed and told me to go away when I tried to correct you on it. Then you backtracked, did a bit of googling and came back with "oh, I meant aggravated trespass", which still made no sense whatsoever in the context of that particular post, just like you're doing now with Sec 4 and 5, and stop search. No person with basic legal knowledge would confuse Sections 4 and 5, as its almost day 1 of training when it comes to criminal law.

This board is a fantastic resource- I come on here to ask advice and learnt quite a bit on subjects that I have little or no knowledge on. However people like you just undermine the whole purpose of such boards by advising on criminal law, when the advice you give is quite frankly a joke. To the lay person your advice would come across as though you know what you are talking about i.e. have a law degree or some working knowledge of the law which is a little dangerous, especially when posters on here may accept it as such.

This board is to share knowledge and opinions on various subjects. Whilst I named the offence incorrectly, I did mean aggravated trespass which is a criminal offence. It is your opinion which says the offence was not applicable. You showed no evidence to support this. The law is about interpretation, much like section 4 and 5 do not specifically state that swearing forms the offence, just words which may cause harassment, alarm or distress. The interpretation is that swearing comprises the offence.

I made a mistake between s4 and 5 and have admitted this, they are very similar. I've not referenced it in a while, and whilst I should've checked, the benefit if this board is that others can correct you.

I have not given any advice which would be considered 'illegal', but if u disagree, u can give ur opinion.

Why would they refuse? It is the document which empowers Them as police, not the costume they wear.

I have had plenty of interactions with police, and they have never been offended to show when asked. Nor have they refused.

In fact it was advised to ask to see it as there was a number of incidents of uniforms being found in various locations.

You are free to act as you wish. I learned the law after my first arrest, turned out to be my last too.
  • I'm glad Its not just me who has picked up on guest 101 and his amateur hour legal 'advice'.

I dont know whether you're just a legal enthusiast or a first year law student or what, but the fact you can't get simple legal definitions correct would suggest you shouldn't be imparting your wisdom on others.

Even if we take your failings in legal knowledge out of the equation, your guide to dealing with being pulled by the police is some of the worst advice I've ever seen. Why are you telling people to make a naturally confrontational incident even more confrontational?!

    Absolutely ridiculous.

No one is forcing you to take my advice, if you don't like it, don't do it. The op found the police aggressive and rude, this would not be the case if he followed my advice.

You have still not proven my advice to be inaccurate, just not your cup of tea.

Two people on a forum don't agree with me, oh no. How will I survive. My advice works. You haven't provided your own for dealing with the police, other than to bend over, metaphorically speaking.

None of the actions I've suggested will damage a persons rights, they will infact protect them. From first hand experience.

Probably because they'd had to deal with your carp 5 minutes earlier.
