I haven't been comping long and so don't really feel I have the right to get involved, but I have to say I certainly preferred the way it was. It was so quick and easy, and you knew where it was, so you had the option to check regularly and enter if you wish.
Just wanted to say that I truly did appreciate all the work that Cornishpasty and others put into it too.
Is there likely to be a vote regarding whether it will go back to how it was? or is this new way staying?:hello: :starmod:Huge Thank you to all Competiton posters :starmod:
Challenge 2016: £0/£2016
2015 prize total: £155

You have every right to get involved kezfin, and you make some good points. the very fact that you are new to the forum and were able to find Cornishpasty's mag daily thread, and enter all the big competitions (the ones other people say they were being unfairly excluded from) speaks volumes.
Which begs the question, what the hell was this all about?0 -

Agree with you kezfin, I am not too far in front of you as a newbie (June started properly comping). I read the guidance, made my way round the site asked questions, pointed in the right direction of threads, subscribed to threads (puzzler, TAB) , joined the mag thread etc. I know this thread is covering the why's and wherefore's of why the original thread was changed, but I am still confused about the chat about the new mag thread in general (that we originally had a link to on the old mag thread). For instance, if we spot a wrong answer, suspended comp , things moving slowly ie videos etc. I was told yesterday on the new mag thread to relate or chat about mag thread to CCC? Does this mean whenever I want to point out anything etc I start a new thread every time in CCC and hope that this is picked up and amended/dealt with in the new mag thread (if you get what I mean!)
For instance this morning on the mags there seem to be adverts popping in between comps (ad blocker on) anyone else get the same? And win something is asking questions now?0 -

You'll find quite a few threads in the Chat Corner concerning the mag dailies/daily, It's just that they get pushed down the forum and forgotten about , and sometimes need resurrecting, unless you look in there regular like, you would not know they even exist.

Hope this helps, thanks for sharing.0 -
OK, so now the posts saying that post have been removed have themselves been removed, including one of mine. It would be really nice to know what the problem is.0

I am sick to death of people taking snipes at me, I've been in tears for days over this and really think some people have pushed the line with the abuse that has been posted in this thread.
ALL I DONE WAS POST A FEW BIG COMPS ON MSE, I LINKED TO THAT THREAD. I ONLY DONE IT TO COMPS WORTH A GRAND.
I DID NOT ASK FOR THE WHOLE THREAD TO BE CHANGED.
NOW LEAVE ME THE F ALONE.
mjm, fnc, mclarkie, rugmaker mumto2boys, your remarks have upset me beyond believe. Maybe think before you rip into people, And Mark you knew me as a close friend before your your attacking words.
Last year as Gb can tell you many threads in monthies were linked to main so people didn't miss out.
I wont come back to respond as it just keeps upsetting me the nastiness here, the constant digs at anyone that doesn't think your way are way out of line.
Flame whatever I'm really not going to be ripped into again.#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Toni, I have been at pains not to attack you or anybody. I have absolutely no problem with mag comps going on the main board, and have offered to help in the process.
My objection is to changes to the mags thread which was working well and has been changed for no reason. This is not your fault and was not asked for by you (or by anybody else).0
