I've had these calls before, I tell them I don't have a computer, and they hang up lol
I have done several things when faced with this phone call, Once I asked him which computer for a laugh as we have more than one, he replied your windows one:rotfl:and on another ocasion I pretended to panic saying Oh no, do you mean I've got some sort of virus or something and rambled on and on until he hung up, lol!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

Keep them on the line as long as possible, its a scam, but every couple of minutes they're faffing around with you, they're not bothering anyone else.josie_ann57 wrote: »Just had a phone call saying my comp is sending hundreds of 'error' messages to Microsoft and unless I go through the steps over the phone to correct it, they will cancel my Microsoft! Is this a scam that I think it is? Thanks in advance.
Lines I use :-
Hold on I'll switch the laptop on.
Hold on theres someone at the door
Just a minute the kettles boiled
I've got to go for a dump
The baby is crying
I've spilled my drink
All are good for a couple of minutes, when I get bored I just say, hold on a second, then I put the phone down and go for a walk.0 -
Re MICROSOFT call.
Yes there are loads of SCAMS you can google it and you will see. I've had quite a lot of these over the years. When they ring now I just say I don't have a computer and put phone down . HthCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Happy glitching/wombling.
Any one with ed's diner close by can get a free burger (don't bother buying a side of chips ...£4.?? for about 8!) and free birthday milkshake when signing up. Can recommend the peanut butter one.:)
Bet they won't ring back as they will know you will see all the SCAMS when you google it.Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

T-mobile say they are not offering me a contract due to the reaults of their credit check. I have no late fees, missed payments, overdrafts and the only credit i have applied for recently was a mortgage more than a year ago
I think the problem is due to my previous address not being on their system in the same number format (it was a flat so had flat, floor and building numbers). I keyed it in instead but doesn't seem to have worked
I hope others fare betterApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Having a busy day getting ready to go away for a week working. Lots to do before I go. i had my 1st click and collect order for Diet Coke yesterday and first of all they substituted 8 x 12 diet coke and gaveme 2 x 24. but they overcharged me on the smaller packs and it took 2 calls to sort it. however finally 6 x 24 d coke and some cotton buds for just over £15.00 result.
Picked up my fogarty pillows from Argos and they are lovely. Also went bra shopping due to weight loss.
Going to Essex by train later and we are staying in the hotel next to lakeside shopping centre so might be able to fit in a spot of xmas shopping.
Lovely new thread by the way.
Which fogerty pillows did you get? Can anyone who got the aromatherapy pillow in the boots glitch recommend them? I have spent a fortune on pillows, buying megga expensive ones and cheap ones and still haven't found a decent one which doesn't either go really flat or isn't too hardBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
