Thank you, as I suspected, the sellar is not being unreasonable as he has offered to pay £15 towards the return postage it is just that we will be out of pocket by over £50 because he answered a direct question wrongly, but thats the risk with fleabay:o

I think you are right Izzey. I think the most you can reasonably expect to be refunded for postage is what you paid in the first place :( Did the seller actually pay £15 for postage, or did they pay more and take the hit on the rest of it?

I still think you could take it up with fleabay
If your item doesn’t match the seller’s description, we may be able to help. eBay Money Back Guarantee may cover the purchase price plus your original postage.

To get started with eBay Money Back Guarantee, open a case below
    .

If you already have a case open:

    1. Go to the Resolution Centre.
    2. Go to "Your Cases" section.
    3. Select the case you’d like to view or take action on.

at the end of the day, item is not as described because seller lied in question response

You're right zzy65, if you were charged £15 it's reasonable for him to offer that to return..I'm not sure if they are obliged to pay postage for returns anyway!

But there has got to be a cheaper option to return, have you tried parcel2go!?:D
