Just a reminder to use up any club card points due to expire at the end of this month. I've just found £11 worth - hum wine or cinema ..... decisions....

Fairclaire - hugs - hope you are feeling less numb this morning. Flying lessons sound awesome! Balancing study and family never easy but I know you can do it.:T
Re DS2 - hard but yes you can now see that the school have let every member of staff know and let you know that they know - so woe betide any that forget - Iyswim.

Happy glitching peeps - off for a meet with the young breast cancer peeps in Leeds and out for a xmas lunch - don't think I'll lose any weight this week :o.

Auu - awesome cakes by the missus - yes I wish she did live near me - I usually have to sort my own cake out - didn't bother this year but gave OH lots of warnings - yep no cake - still I want to lose weight don't I :rotfl: Had to buy me own pressies too!

Didn't get further then Boots yesterday - so if I am going to buy my own pressies thought I'd make the most of it - so brought an expensive perfume (very non MSE) and its my xmas pressie from him (shan't tell him there was £5 off plus £12 in points as it was a points event) :D

Once again thanks for the birthday wishes much appreciated...:T

Forgot to say ............. Mum's out of hospital as of yesterday - the big C hasn't come back but they now reckon she has pneumonia and gallstones! (Funny non of these options were mentioned to the family in the 6 days she was in there hey ho). But good news and once again thanks for your messages of support. so can concentrate on Dad again now phew....
  • Just found out we are going to have a VERY MSE day. We have wine and canapes at a local shop opening at 4 pm, then we will come home and drop off the van, then go to Tesco for dinner :D OH won't be able to have more than a little wine at the opening, but will be able to make up for it later :D

    Morning all.....

Not posted on this thread yet, been trying to find the opportunity and just signed in to see the thread is at half way point so I thought now may be appropriate. I didn't want to miss out on posting on 'Mads' thread, and I know I have a manic few days ahead, (whats new) so thought i'd say I was, like the rest of you, devastated when I managed to get on Saturday afternoon and read the news. RIP Mad. :A

It has been so nice doing the occasional catch up this week to find such a friendly atmosphere, and i'm sure that shows a great sign of respect to a someone who must have been a fine man.

The news hit me in a weird way as I have been helping my Mum as her carer through the torment of the big C, and although she has many side effects of some very harsh treatment and an accident she shouldn't have had last year, she had been given the all clear from her oncologist at the end of last week from the latest scan she had. She is still hardly 'back on her feet' though. Not sure if that will even ever happen now either, and that, frustratingly, is more due to the 'accident'!

Anyway, happy birthday/anniversary to anyone who has had one that i've missed, and hope everyone is keeping well.

Well, i've not actually read a single post since 4.30pm yesterday afternoon when I caught up on a few pages, so I suppose I better see whats happening this morning. Main things I have to look for is the activia from T's with MOC's, and the O'Brown plus 2 MT from A's, and no doubt a number of other things I may have missed..... Has anyone brought 2 £5 chics in A's and matched the T's ones please? I've had a number of NSD's in the run up to pay day, so now I need to find some good deals to last us till the next one!

I feel sorry for her - I remember having pneumonia and it is not something I would want to repeat, and to have gallstones on top of that

So glad it was not the cancer back though.

    Good morning:hello:

    Hope everyone is well...

We're off to the last b00ts Christmas points event today... Hope I have more success than yesterday.. The store I went to only had 2 of the 6 items I wanted... Tried to order online instore...oos:mad:

Got back to the car.... No advantage card
Ran back to find it still in the advantage machine behind the till....phew... Lets just say I've built up a nice little amount to spend in the sales:) so that was a relief..

    Happy shopping

    Mt2m:)

Gosh you were lucky! I left mine in the machine, walked about 20 paces away, realised and returned but it had gone  Fortunately their system was down that day and you couldn't redeem your points so I had the chance of cancelling it. Was an awful moment though as had just built up a big points balance when the spray perfumes were giving more points back than they cost.
