Precisely and the reason why this is a game changing phone which must be worrying manufacturers like Apple, Samsung and HTC. Now there is no need to spend £300 on a smartphone to get a superior smartphone experience.0 -

This is quite some phone - I got mine for £94 with a £5 Tesco voucher, then paid mnz.technologies.ltd on ebay £2 to unlock, so total of £96. Code came in 30 mins, I'm back on talkmobile with my old SIM.
The screen is not the very best, but the accuracy of the touchscreen is very good. It could be a little quicker, but I think the strategy of buying a £100 phone very year is better than a £250 phone every 2 years which was my strategy before. You never know which technologies will take over, like NFC or 4 G might not take off for years, so there is no point in paying extra for them now.

To be fair I reckon this IS a £250 phone (certainly the 16GB model) but sold as a budget phone by Google's 'manufacturing arm' to help keep the likes of Samsung (who have mooted having their own OS in the future) in line. Plus the added bonus for Google is it makes iPhones look even more ridiculously overpriced. Win win situation.0 -
Apparently the kitkat update is rolling at the moment - for phones bought from Motorola and Amazon - so sim free, I guess.
With a bit of luck - the Tesco phones shouldn't be too far behind0 -
