The staffroom at one school I work in has been taken over as a classroom - staff have to eat in department offices - which is fine - unless you don't have one or it is too small for the numbers.... invigilators have been eating in their cars. The other school has (apparently) split the staff room up into sections for those people who don't have department offices. Our staff room is diddy and should only have 9 people max in it. But even with 4 or 5, I don't like it, it feels cramped. But it is where the photocopiers live, so I have to venture in sometimes...Lunch will be scoffed in 'my' classroom. No dept offices here. No stock cupboards, just a couple full of stuff for the cleaners!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Wow that IS a diddy staffroom! The one turned into a classroom is classroom sized and the other one is big and has a workroom off it but also PCs in the main bit and a weeny kitchen off it (so weeny the bin is outside - I think it was a cupboard at some point) and a weird landing corridor area with photocopiers, the pigeonholes and (strangely) a couple of chairs (to sit at whilst waiting for the copier??) - although these chairs may have disappeared now - I haven't been back in that part post. I'm not sure how the divisions work (although there are 3 ways in/ out of it) and whether everyone has access to the kitchen (in reality it is a sink, a dishwasher, a microwave, an undercupboard fridge and a couple of wall cupboards) I suspect any 'general' mugs and cutlery have been removed....I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203

Just had a negative covid test. Happy times. Also just had a thought, so here I am to share it: numbers of infected people are dropping - a good thing. Half term ended about 12 days ago. Are we kind of expecting an upswing in infections from half term shenanigans soon? School pupils return en masse as from Monday. Will they be 'blamed' for the upswing (if it happens)?Oooh, that was a series of thoughts strung together...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1

Good news on the negative covid test! As for the implications of your string of thoughts ... I'm not going there! No way, no how. I'm living in fairyland right now, I tell you.2023: the year I get to buy a car1

Y'know I said how diddy our staffroom is? Well, after this morning's tests, there must've been 8 people sitting in there chatting. WHY???!!??!! I went in to do some photocopying for Monday afternoon and tried not to breathe too much. Utter twerps. Moaning about e v e r y t h i n g. Soooo pleased for SD meaning I don't have to be near them and listen to their whiningNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1

I often tell my kids not to confuse an education with intelligence.
but that is usually about posh boy politicians.
DS3 has lots of tales of his teachers who do not believe in the virus and would not let them have the windows open. At least they are easily spotted, stay away from them!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I have been brave and ventured to liddle again at opening time. I deliberately arrived 5 mins later and joined the queue further back. 2 ladies beat me to the reduced section but I did get hummous and some reduced bready/pastry thingies for dh. Then in the meat section I found 10 chicken breasts for £2 and a pack of mince for 90p, both of which I snaffled. And there was also a decent ish veg box too:-350g black grapes-6 nanas-2 small aubergine (these will be eaten with the mince)-3 small chubby carrots-4 small oranges-1 1/2 pear (Yes, indeed!!!)-1 onion-1 small head of broccolisatsumas galore: (I struggle with satsumas in the winter months - they make my skin prickle!!)-2 large-5 medium-15 smallI still managed to easily spend over £40. But I know that I would have spent far more on the equivalent elsewhere. Now to go and wake the others as it is nearly 9.30. Lazybones!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
