Oops. Lasting was supposed to be ' lasering '. Typing it again, the autocorrect decides that it should be ' lasting'. Oops!!

Dh has glaucoma and previous ops haven't really worked, so he will only accept lasering now if they insist that he has something done...

Your poor OH, that sounds horrible. I remember my BiL having lasering, and it gave him a new lease of life.
You all have a good weekend2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
I have had a very peaceful day, really.Plenty of steps and a nice walk with dd.Caught up on most of my marking; wrote an email to one of dd's teacher's re another pupil's snidy comments about dd's work in a breakout room; got a good reply.Didn't eat well- 2nd day running, so need to halt this tomorrow.Dh's eye appt was just to take lots of photos and do tests, the pics + results then get sent to those who know how to interpret them. The return to sch is starting to feel like a proper real reality. I've adapted so much of my teaching to delivering it online that it will be odd to revert to face-to-face again. The big bonus will be to see al the darling cherubs in person.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Back from what has become a regular Saturday morning shop in liddle, and I'm really not enjoying it. It has become far too busy in recent weeks. And I'm spending a lot! Or so it feels. Time to re-think.Price-wise, it's the same as aldee. I only really go there for mango, decaf coffee, cottage cheese, tinned tuna and 95% choc which I can't get in aldee. And they have a foodbank container just past the tills. But the thrill of 'bargains' lures me in!
The occasional veg box. The 20p and 70p items. The 30% off...
Talking of which, today I acquired hummus, cheesy dip, 2x 6 eggs, 2 vegan 'sausage' rolls for dh, lemon and raisin pancakes for dh, sausages for dh, all for 20p each, and 3x gf sausages for 70p each.We do have a lot of food in, so I now need to have a plan to use it. And a plan for returning to work.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5 -
Some great bargains there - and they surely should mean a reduction in food spends in the long term..? XI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £204

Sorry apple, got my tabs confused! Posted the Turtles post on your page by accident.Your bargains sound fab, but everywhere is getting noticeably busier. Have a week off and use up some bits. Or go in for the bargains, but leave if they are not good enough.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

That's exactly my plan, f0xh0les, re liddle. I'll prob still need to go there weekly, but will go with a much reduced list. And once we're back in school, and the gym opens, I'll combine gym + shop.I missed your turtle post, so now need to meander over there to satisfy my curiosity!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Only 2 more wfh days left. Yikes! I'm going to miss being able to wear lounge wear, to put a wash on whenever I want to, grabbing snacks, going to the loo whenever I want to...I go in on Fri for my own covid test and that's it. Back to sch on Mon. It is really making me appreciate this last week.It will be good to get out of the house and have a whole new (old?) routine...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Wow. It's been so long, it's going to be really different when you go back ... the ease of the routine when you wfh is so good. But there must be *some* benefits to not wfh
let's drink to them!
