Mad day at work again, getting sorted for the trip to France on Friday. The risk assessment I submitted onMay 2nd still hasn't been signed off. Sigh. But I 'borrowed' it back and copied it anyway(and put itback!), as I'm not in work tomorrow.
Still need to do my own reports. Must allocate time for that tomorrow... MUST....
Marked 15 today. Not bad given that I only got home at 1.30. Tomorrow I must (again!) focus on some higher ones - they'll take longer, sigh.
Operation 'screen off the noisy 4yo next door' is underway. Yay!
Ch shop bargains were got today - used SA credit and only paid £2.50 for good sandals for dd, a china doll for dd, natural minty soap for dh (bday), posh candle in a ceramic pot for posh friend (bday).
Expenses have been paid for my trip to Manchester last month, so that'll go off the mortgage. Must book my train ticket for this month's trip...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
So, I spent an hour writing my own reports and only got my y5 ones written and uploaded. But that was progress! They are due onMon. My others are due on weds, so a little breathing space...
A good day. 20 scripts marked (have done over 200 now - yay!), some admin done. Emails checked many times and nowt from the head so my risky assessment must've been ok. Zcut kb#11 done (18 mins, 8K = 4 rounds and 14 swings). Food and drink all ready for departing at silly o'clock tomorrow morning. Forecast is dry, but am taking a brolly. I ain't daft... Alarm is set for 4.50am. Ugh. Continental Europe, here I come! (along with 34 11/12 year olds)
Dd has been invited to take part in a taekwondo competition thingy. Last time it was too far, but this one's nearer and we have the car.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Back from France yesterday by 8.30pm. Rather worn out (to put it mildly), having got to work for 5.30am. It was a relaxing day, but being the one in charge means that you are never relaxed and always looking ahead to the next thing to do. I had a great team of staff with me, and the kiddies were also lovely.
I was in bed by 9.15 and woke up at 8 ish, but still have a cracking headache. Have eaten scrambled egg for the protein, drunk over a pint of water, had 3 biscuits for the sugar (!) and taken ibuprofen. And it still won't budge!
And I have to write reports aplenty this weekend. Oh, and crack on with the marking... So I'm putting it all off and spending time on here...
The sun is shining (hurts my eyes) and I'm taking dd to dance in about an hour (you'll find me snoring in a corner somewhere) and they want her to stay an extra 30 mins at the end (sigh). She hurt her ankle at foorball yesterday, but it is the first weekend of her shows so I hope it stands up to the dancing. (although part of me is not-so-secretly hoping that is is too painful and she can't do the shows - rotten mother that I am!)NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ooof no wonder you're tired Apple! Hope you manage to squeeze in a nana nap this afternoon!"You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

No nap for me, I'm afraid. dd is making some faux leather shoes for her china dolls and I am apparently the best one to advise, helo cut out and sew...
Brain is too addled to do marking so I'll try to do some reports whilst keeping an eye on the tennis... and helping dd.
Just realised that dh is taking dd to the first show tomorrow, and staying to watch it, collect her to feed her and drop her back for the 2nd show. So I should get a run of a few hours for marking, I hope.
First those reports that I keep postponing. Am just very glad the parents don't have an inkling how much I procrastinate about writing about their dear darling offspring...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Up early to get started marking. 3 done so far, now it's time for bfast and a little mooch on here.
Not a brill night's sleep as both dh and Iwere restless. I had a night full of strange dreams that made me keep getting up to deal with the situation i was dreaming about. I know that at least once, dh had to point things out to me, like that it was 2am so why would they be waiting for me?
Part of the reason I didn't sleep well, apart from all the rubbish food I ate to try to disperse the bad head, was that I only did a little over 3k steps - simply put, I was not active enough. So today needs to be different. Very different!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I marked over 20 today. A goodly number done. Tomorrow I shall try to do some foundation ones, but have a full day at work (and really should get my reports done...) followed by a staff meeting. So no high hopes even to hit double figures.
Dd is e x h a u s t e d from the shows and has a full week at school to do before more shows next sunday. Poor kiddo.
I have done zcut #12 with my 8k kb; 18m = 3 rounds exactly. I have also eaten much better than usual today.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
A long day. I am very grateful for the car, otherwise it would have been over 12 hours out of the house.
The reports are still a work in progress...
Marked 7 today - am pleased with that.
I have a plan for tomorrow. A cunning plan, no less.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
