I have washed clothes + pegged them out beautifully(!), done a workout and now I shall go and wash myself.

Workout was ZWOW 5: 10 minutes of:
10x bicep curl + should press (5k DB)
    30 DB mountain climber
10 DB sumo deadlift + high pull
5 competition burpee - the belly down ones (thinking of you, HBBB!!!!)

I completed 3 rounds with 7 seconds to spare, so didn't take up the DBs again but watched the seconds tick away.

Dh took it upon himself to wash up, and when I mentioned I was considering sorting through the under-the-sink cupboards, he said he'd sort out the storage there. He has since spent aaaaaaages online with the tape measure. Still not chosen yet! Or sorted out anything...

Anyhow, I got another load washed and a Sally Army bag ready to go tomorrow. Plus half another one as dh cleared his jumper cupboard. Married 12+ years and there were jumpers there that I'd never even seen!!

The apple trees are blooming well - moreso than any other year. This usually means the weather is about to turn wet and extremely windy so that the trees are unable to pollinate...!

Have been looking at train travel to the NE and am aghast at the pricing! I know that driving it is untenable - 7+ hours by myself with dd, but it's tempting at the mo!

Another chilled, relaxing day has been had.

I've been cogitating on May. A tad premature, perchance, as we are yet to hit the 2/3 mark in April, but enjoyable for not being pressurized.

I'm considering calling it 'makeover May'. Not in the beauty sense. :rotfl: Short nails, no make-up, a ski care regime consisting of water + olive oil... But in a more holistic, whole body sense.

A lot of recent focus has been on financial matters; May will look at food + exercise, relaxing and enjoying being alive.

I shall plan every meal (gulp) along clean eating lines, with a focus on protein + green veggies, aiming for 10 produce per day. I shall avoid sugar. I shall follow an exercise programme, going heavy on the weights where applicable. I shall make my skipping rope my best friend. And my bike. And maybe my new scooter too! :)

All that will not detract from keeping an eye on the finances. Honest guv! Am 'hoping' that planning all morsels of grub will result in canny shopping.

Anyhow, I'd best keep re-reading this post in May!

Tomorrow is a chocolate-eating day! Shall no doubt stuff my chops and feel sick. Then hop back on the wagon til my bday - can I do a sugar-free stretch of 22 days...?

    Have a lovely Easter Day!

I have just been for a run - the first of 2014! (Or, as dd tells me, a JOG.) In the rain - loved it!

We got home from church, had baked tato and tuna, filled my face with chocolate, then decided to go out!!

28 mins. One stop at the turning point to see how long it had taken me.

The body makeover has started early...nsk and others were talking about losing weight and setting a group challenge. I'm in!

And I shall be breaking my choc up into small pieces to freeze and use in cakes and biscuits later. I really do not want anymore now!

Yesterday's sugarfest hasn't done too much damage weightwise. Although I'm definitely feeling the effects of the JOG. :p

It's the last day of the Easter hols and more rain is forecast. But the sun is currently shining so I shall enjoy it while I can. There are no great plans for today. I do need to work through the 'mending bag' of stuff dd has given me to sew up, and which I avoid looking at! And if dd goes next door to play, I may nip to the shops and do the weekly shop, to save doing it tomorrow... But if it's tipping with rain, it can wait!

I decluttered a pile of magazines yesterday after a quick scan through them, only keeping 1 for now. More to do today.

6 toys and dd things mended; 2 lots of washing on the line; a few more magazines decluttered along with a file and a coat.

    And no rain yet... :j

Still no rain and the washing is dry - yippee!

Shopping is done til next week. Bought a few unnecessaries eg smoked salmon (but sooo yummy for a protein filled brekkie or lunch with eggs) and red pepper hummous (can make my own garlicky version easily). Shall sit for a while on the naughty step then go and plan the meals, taking the shopping into consideration.

And I've done a mini-workout. Silent killer, once through, using dumbbells (10kg combined) and doing the alternative ab exercises. Enough to get a little sweat on!

Can't quite believe dd is back to school and dh is back to work tomorrow. It's been a really relaxing break. I return to work on weds, but have a governors meeting tomorrow at 6pm and a y7 parents evening on Thurs 5-7pm, so shan't be able to come home in between school and the parents eve. :(. I'll be glad to get to next weekend!

First day back for dd and she did NOT want to wake up! Don't blame her, really...

So, school run then off for a vit D blood test. No shopping to do, which is rather liberating, and a good walk ahead. Home and a toughie workout, wash, paperwork (yep, the stuff I postponed from 2 weeks ago) and finishing off some knitting, including the pesky Angelina - don't know how many pages ago I first mentioned finishing her off.... The listcurrently has 14items on it...

Best get a wiggle on, then!

Had to send dd to school in her boots today. Her shoes BOTH have a crack across the sole that seems to go all the way through - after the recent rain,I didn't really want to test the waterproofness (or otherwise) on the way to school. Now, naughty mummy knew they were cracked, but had completely forgotten! Oops...

Anyhow, I have done my mega humumgous workout - it only took me 17mins 44! I was expecting in the 20s. So, which one was it? ZWOW #22, for time:

4 burpees (the ones others call b*stards, but which to me are normal ones - with a push up) on the minute, every minute
+ 30 chair jump (pike jump, hands on seat, 2 jumps =1)
    + 30 chair push up
+ 30 bent leg dip on chair
+ 30 sumo squat with palm touch down and clap up
+ 30 bodyweight single RDL with squat twist

    Ooph.

But I am mow lovely and clean! And have done some paperwork for school tomorrow. Pea and spinach soup is on the hob. 15mins more paperwork then I can get knitting til the school run arrives.

And maybe I should do a little shoe-hunting...
