Border/frontier control. Humph. Made us wait an hour on the way out and two and a half hours on the return. Ridiculous. Only coaches. Inept. Incompetent.

So we returned after 9pm (instead of 7) and the driver was well over his hours.

A dry day, the kiddies did really well with the interminable waiting and with trying to speak French. Their behaviour on the boats and town was lovely. We saw many unlovely groups, but none of them belonged to us :D.

Dd kept herself awake till I was home - nearly 10pm, but did fall asleep v quickly.

I have fewer aches and pains that I anticipated, so that is a sign that I am mending.

Dh has taken dd to dance rehearsals. I have done a wash, written my feedback for the trip, and am trying not to drink too much coffee!

Tomorrow is set up to be full. Very full.

I am teaching 7 out of 8 lessons. I have to return medical bits and bobs, sch phone. I have to see the DH about my feedback report and issues arising from it. I have to have completed all my reports by 4pm. At 3.45 I have a staff meeting until about 5. At 5.30pm I have a Full Governing Body meeting at dd's sch, which is due to go on until about 8pm.

Therefore, today will be looking at what I can force myself to do today that will make tomorrow easier. Church first - dh has already left to do pa. Whites wash. Make lunches for a couple of days. Most importantly, write reports. Read FGB docs. Print off mini booklets for y6 and their trip. I'd also like to do some weeding. And maybe cut out a robin doorstop...

-Dd opted out of church - it is about the only 'missable' activity of the week and a rest should do her good. We did go and pick up dh - not fair to ask him to do both journeys on the bus.
    -Whites wash done.
-Reports written as a document, just need to copy and paste.
-Booklets - 1 copy printed so can copy at work.
-Most of a robin cut out, and dd and I have made a wardrobe with shelves for her dolls' clothes.
-Some weeding done out the back too - 10 mins has made my hands hurt, so won't do any more today.

    Still to do:
-Attempt to do the necessary copy + paste for reports - if I can remember the website address!
    -Read FGB docs
-Cut out rest of robin's body

Father's Day lunch = AGCJ's Spring Piggy with lots of bacon + hm bread + butter pudding.

-Reports all done and dusted. Phew.
    -FGB docs read, I think
    -Robin's body all cut out

So, a successful day that will relieve some of the pressure tomorrow. Go me!

Oh me, oh my! Tis like autumn squalls out there. Today is the day our y11 pupils bring their text books back, and we have a little celebratory pastryfest with them and send them on their way. Their soggy way, if the weather continues as it is currently.

So, time to take a deep breath and face the day...

The day has been faced - and rather well, too, if I may say so.

Pre-school meeting, 7/8 lessons, report feedback from trip, soggy y11s (but no wet breaks - phew), tricky pupil (lab tech came in with me), triple checked my spellings on reports, after school staff meeting, full governing board meeting. All done.

Lunch and clean clothes ready for the morrow. Off to nodland soon...

NSD #14. CB arrived so that went straight off the mortgage, taking us just under 35k. And nearly 13,000 steps.

I finally feel that I am well on the road to recovery. My hands do ache/hurt easily, and my feet some days too. But much, much less than just a week ago.

Plenty of sorting done today - but I must remember to take it easy so as not to make my hands ache - which was therapeutic. No one else would prrobably notice what I've done, but I do!

I have a table at our summer fair on Sat. Yikes! Fortunately I have a stash of 'stock'! The forecast is so variable, we may end up inside... Then the following sat is dd's fair.

Am meeting up with the colleague whose maternity cover I've been doing this Friday. I'll have dd in tow as she has an inset day, and my friend may well have both her littlies, so we won't be allowed to talk about work much!

Just 6 more working days of the 4-days-a-week-lark and then just 2 more working days and I break up. Ridiculously early, but I am not complaining, and am planning to do my new SoWs in the time when I'm finished but dd is still at school. Ooh, that means I only have 8 more days of work until the summer hols. Awesome!

Another NSD to add to the total - 16 so far.

And we are all relaxed as none of us have school tomorrow :D. Voting is done. A wash has been done. And dh bought a mower from aldee :j. Such a shame the weather isn't dry enough to use it...

Off to town tomorrow, to spocksavers as my right eye vision is vague at best. At long, mid and short range. So that needs a re-make of the lens, methinks. Dd wants to but a doll from the entertainer store, and I shall return some socks that she does not want to the £store. Only £1 but she'll never wear them, so why not get it back?! Or let dd spend it....

Then we meet my friend for a chat and to bring her up to speed on school stuff.

And then home to check over my stuff for saturday's fair - give it an air, possibly an iron, and check table coverings and price labels. If time allows, I'll 'knock up' another robin doorstop...
